Real ones know that gilbert arenas had one of the best work ethics in the game behind Kobe Bryant, he went from late 2nd round pick to an all star and one of the best scorers in the game. His son is in great hands.

Remember rest is when you grow and recover. If he’s not managing that too your body gets broken down and never recovers, injury follows. Stay healthy folks

It’s a difficult balance. To be an elite level athlete you have to train harder than is actually healthy, but it’s ultimately for nothing if you’re injured all the time

@@WaterBomtle fortunately saying “I train him like a pro” is a indication he isn’t training him properly because he’s not a pro athlete he has other responsibilities that a pro athlete doesn’t have. He is also a young man. Like not going to sleep using the calm app 🤣😂

There's way too much to master in a short amount of time on offense. It's easier to get someone to slide their feet towards the baseline than it is to hesi-tween-cross step back hit a cutter inside hand and not fuck it up.

I remember his interview about life of a retired player. He said that it's miserable and there is nothing to do. I'm sure this is what he found. I don't have kids but I'm sure there is nothing better than spending time with them.

I didn’t watch basketball when gilbert played but watching him on podcasts has made him by favorite player. Pulled up some highlights and his 3 year run was on par with what AI was putting up. He’s a beast

On one hand I really admire what he is doing with his son. On the other hand, he’s training him to be another athlete. One injury and it all goes away. And there’s always the possibility of a short career. This is a young man’s game after all. I hope he has some educational training to with all this physical training.

I coach HS ball in LA and respect that they left him at his HS so he doesn’t play on a stacked team. Instead learning to play against a gameplan and being the defensive focal point. Still dropping 30+ regularly.

I would be concerned about injuring legs, it’s a marathon the freshest most recovered legs win. In basketball the lightest/strongest guy will always have an advantage. I would train these guys to be as strong as you can be while being super light and protect to be knees and ankles at all costs.
