Acrylic pouring: Fluid art
My pouring medium used for my usual work is a pre mix of 70% “Mont marte clear craft glue and 30% warm water, if in the USA Elmer’s glue all works well (most pva glues can be made up with same ratios to make a pouring medium), I add my pouring medium to my paint slowly until I achieve the consistency of pouring cream, approximately 50/50 more pm if needed, not all paint brands go well with this pouring medium, so just test out.
paint brands mostly used are the Mont marte studio acrylics, dimensions, or pouring paints, Boom Gel stain.
I Certainly explore different brands and mediums, it’s all part of the learning process.
When iv mixed my paints I add 2-4 drops maximum of Helmar silicone, also Australian made, I stir in well.
I always like to mix up my paints and add silicone the day before I’m going to paint, and cover with a damp cloth, as I have found I have much better results.

I love all of your artwork. I never knew anyone could dislike green as much as I do. LOL. My mother always had every room in the house painted green from the time I was 3 yo till they moved (around 25 years).

I worked in an orphanage in Kenya . I use to catch geckos & put them in my bedroom. They would eat the mosquitos so I didn't get malaria. Your gecko has brought back lovely memories.

To me, Gilly, it looks like your impression of a tossed salad on canvass. Not being a big fan of green either, I share you dislike of the colour. However, green is very restful and easy on the eyes so from that aspect it is awesome. I love the kisses. I just think there should have been a few tomato slices it in. 😁

The green is fine Gilly. For me, it's brown (even some yellows) tones - haven't got one tube of brown!!! I love this with the kisses - it gives your pour a whole new dimension.

Hi Gilly. Purple is my favorite colour followed by green. I love this piece. I find the two colours so calming together. I will try something like this and definitely wait to do the balloon kisses. Hi Gilly!! 👋👩‍🦳️👋 I so agree with you about the green, not one of my favorite colors unless it's a green on natural plants. I do think you did a great job incorporating it into a nice garden feel pour, with the diagonal colors and of course the 'Gilly Kiss n Blow'. You do such wonders with your signature touch!! 🧡💛💚💙💜❤️️ *I know you are so good with your kisses done right away, but you always talk about others waiting 20+/_ minutes. Would you doing half right away, pausing for that time, then doing the other half show viewers any difference? That way they could better see what to expect when they do theirs, and how it differs from what happens when you do your kisses? 🤔😀🙂😀🤔 I would love to see this done in a blues, black and silver over-all color scheme. Also on the diagonal, some reds, purples, a touch of orange maybe, whatever you want to add. If you add flowers out towards the corners, what if you took a thin card and added green stems with a card slide? 🟦🟪🟥🟧🟩 As always Gilly, you know I love your art(I hesitate to call it work), and send you my love for you and yours!! Oh, have you ever shown us your gecko? I don't remember ever seeing it, and would love to. 🙃😉 God bless and have a great week!
