👉👉👉Saving an image uses XCF, GIMP's native file format (file extension .xcf). This preserves the layers and many aspects of your work-in-progress, allowing to work on it again later. Once a project is completed, you can export it as JPEG, PNG, GIF, etc.👈👈👈

Jan, thank you very much for this informative tutorial. I have never had the need to make a magazine cover but at least I have an idea now. The use of grids for border creation was very interesting. I hope to have time later to practice. West
