Gingerbread is a Christmas cookie... . It's a little late, but I uploaded the Gingerbread Korean House.
It took a week to complete the template and make a recipe. (Tears 12) It took me a full two days to prepare and shoot my scene.
It would be easier to make the simple western style gingerbread house.
Now I decided to make the gingerbread house again next life.
First of all, I started simple thought of making a Korean House
‘Hanok’, but I was most worried about what to do with the curved roof and tiles of it.
I thought about it a lot and I was also frustrated. Finally found my way.

Anyway, I ended up buying a commercially available Hanok miniature.
Because it is prefabricated, there are many pieces. After exactly took pictures of it, enlarged the size, and modified it to the shape I needed.
Everyone, let's try with a commercial miniature... haha..
Unfortunately, I am not able to share the template with you. Because miniature makers might dislike it.
Let’s talk about the recipe for gingerbread.
This dough is a little thin. And I also reduced baking soda. If the cookie swells too much, it is difficult to make a house.
I used shortening, but if you're going to use butter, reduce molasses. Because butter is moister than the shortening. The amount of reduced molasses is written below also.
The royal icing is thicker than the regular royal icing so that the cookies stick well.

400g all-purpose flour
3g ginger powder
3g cinnamon powder
1.5g salt
105g vegetable shortening (or butter)
110g sugar
30g eggs
195g molasses (180g when using butter)

180g sugar powder
