Whitney should have done some Broadway. She's got the perfect demeanor to play some diva roles and kill on the singing.
@manuelorozco77608 жыл бұрын
+bluscorpion I agree there are so many roles she should have played like Effie in Dreamgirls, Maybelle in Hairspray, Glinda or Evilline in the Wiz or reprised the Fairy Godmother in the recent Broadway version of Cinderella opposite Laura Osnes.

Broadway is hard work. These celebrities are too used to luxury to dedicate themselves to 8 shows a week.

@@manuelorozco7760 Whitney was supposed to play Deena in a film adaptation of Dreamgirls years before the 2006 adaptation, but production was stalled and it was conflicts because Whitney wanted to sing both Deena and Effie's songs, particularly And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going which was the standout musical number.

I had looked online only do deal with that said news before I told my mom about Natalie Reid. My mom was shocked and said, "So Miss Reid had cancer? And she's the same one playing Bernadette Peters' daughter?" I said, "Not to mention she was some step-sister to Brandy Norwood" while my mom said nothing about that same actress playing Cinderella. Brandy Norwood is still alive as of July 21, 2021.
@Carmaker19 жыл бұрын
Cinderella began production on June 23, 1997 and wrapped on July 18, 1997, so that explains why Whitney said she is 33 (instead of 34). To think she was still recovering from her miscarriage and yet got to work again. These June 1997 recording sessions with Whitney actually inspired Brandy, after 3 long years since her debut dropped in 1994, to begin work on Never Say Never in October 1997, also while taping Season 3 of Moesha (fr. July 1997). I still don't know how she managed all of that without burning out.

The Musical producers said Whitney and Brandy recorded all day and then they called Whitney back in to hit the D5 again at the end of ‘It’s Possible’. They said even after working all day she came in hit that note so effortless that they were blown away

“Why are you done there” 😂😂 I love and miss Whitney. My mom met her when she was living in Newark before she started her career and she was just the down to earth. ❤️

I love Whitney in all, but I felt more sorry for Brandy anyway. Why? Her birthday was ruined. If I had a loved one dying on my birthday, I'd stop celebrating that day. No questions asked unless it's unrelated to the birthday celebration subject.
