Used the same footage as the non extended one, so collected everything in the Ginso Tree again full 100% while taking no damage.

@@mihaimercenarul7467 People who don't play MEtroidvanias or jump-and runs regularly. And that is fine. Everybody should be able to play a game at their pace and difficulty they're comfortable with. (That being said, i'm against an 'easy mode' for notoriously difficult games like dark souls, because the difficulty IS the appeal there)

Still can't believe that this amazing scene came from a platform game. Tricky escape, beautiful graphic, and the music is just EPIC! My heart was pounding when going through this part and even subconsciously whispered "Come on, Ori. You can do this!"

The music, gameplay dynamic, and the story of nearly sacrifice - saving the tree by putting yourself into the danger - great combination! Absolutely agree! Other missions are more like DarkSouls haha:)

It really ramped up the difficulty there. Before the game let you take your sweet time (usually) with the puzzles, let you get comfortable with the handling. The Ginso tree is the first real test if you managed to gain a muscle memory. And if not.. well.. now is the time to get it asap. :D

Years later I still recommend this game, and this particular song as a shining example of video games as an art form.

I just played through both games recently and this was truly a great moment in gaming. The moment the water starts to rise I was hit with a Steam Achievement called Run For Your Life! It said all I needed to know. I also love how they just did this scene again in the sequel, though the water wheel escape is much easier.

I remember the first time playing this the music started playing and I saw the achievement "run for your life!" I was like wait what? OH NO THE WATER. They set this up really nicely so that you have to come to the realization what's happening and start panicking. The music does a good job of conveying that restoring the water is a happy moment, but also you gotta gtfo. It's also fantastic that when you die, you instantly respawn and the music continues. (unlike a lot of games where it will restart the music from the beginning) This makes it so much more fluid and satisfying, even if you die over and over again it doesn't get frustrating. In-fact, it almost makes you want to keep dying so that you can keep doing it over and over again. Very well made game, I would even go as far as to say the game is close to perfection, provided that you are interested in the genre. The only negatives to this game are the combat, and the fact it's not very long. Will of the wisps improved drastically in both of these, and it is probably my favourite video game ever, beating even the nostalgic ocarina of time on the N64 from when I was a kid.

@@Lumariiio I'm already at the end of the second game I liked it a lot but I still prefer the first one and the reason I like the first game the most is because I really liked the story, the songs and also the levels of escape like the one in the video.

When I got to play Ori and the Blind Forest AND Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch..... All REALITIES around me DID NOT EXIST ANYMORE Only These 2 HEART-PURIFYING GAMES!!!!!

A great thing about that level is that the music just keeps playing when you die and restart. There's also no hard reload screen. This makes the restart feel less like a failure but more like a continuation of your efforts of learning this level. It's as if the music is saying "keep going, I know you will make it eventually". I'll be honest, I'm not the best gamer and I died a lot here. I don't know if I would've succeeded without that little extra motivation from the music loop.

Not making this one in the first try is really understandable but the smooth transition really allows you to practice and in the end I feel like it really pays of :)

I absolutely love this track, It's one of my all time favourites and one I would listen to whenever I need a track to get me motivated to work on my projects. I plan to have this as Isla's attack theme for my Ori inspired magical girl series

I really hated the puzzles in the tree and the escape was really tricky for me but the music made me completely forgive the game lol

Just binge played this and will of the wisps over a week. I have never been so terrified / mad / frustrated / happy / amazed / determined all at once ever in a game at this point. I wish I could play this for the first time again. Achievement get "Run for your life" - huh?? OH GOD.

@@banananer16 no worries, just wasn't sure if I should include the ending. Only the last minute or so is different, rest is the same. I wasn't sure which one you preferred so I did both (for now).
