I absolutely loved how the music continued to play and didn't start over when you died, like most games. It was like it was encouraging you to not give up.

The Ginso Tree Escape is one of the greatest moments in video game history.

That panic moment when it's your first time playing the game and later you have to escape out of a tree before the rising water crushes you...and only the soundtrack comforts you and encourages you to keep jumping and running up the walls -even desperatly jumping on spikes-

what I love about this piece is how it conveys such raw untamed beauty and danger just like a force of nature.

The Ginso Tree escape was the moment I went from being interested in this game to adoring it. It was so thrilling, so high energy, so beautiful that dying repeatedly only drove me to try again and conquer it. Everthing felt like it fit together so perfectly. And the moment of relief before Kuro shows her face. The worst part is that I can never have that wonderful first time experience again...

This part was simultaneously frustrating and awesome. Not only do you use the coolest ability in the game to make a daring escape as a huge torrent of water closes in on you, but you're also pushed on by this fantastic music that emphasized the epicness of the moment and constantly says to you "You can do it! Keep going!" Seriously, this part of the game was freaking amazing. I loved it so much even though I died like a billion times. Way to go Ori creators. You did a fantastic job.

You know a game has you hooked when you unexpectedly start humming to the soundtracks.

Its year 2019 and I am still here, hearing to this... This music is epic. Great scene in one of the best games ever. I must say, that this is more than a soudtrack or music for me. This sequence helped me through the years in the worst moments. It gives me strength to face the real life problems as it did during the escaping of Ginso tree.

wow, 4 years already. I think I've played this game 4 or 5 times already and this game, this song, everything of it is still a masterpiece...

You know this part of the game was awesome if you died on purpose after dying a dozen other times just to keep hearing this track and playing that part of the level. :)

This soundtrack is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric tracks that ever exists... The soundtrack alltogether is like a mirror which reflect the emotions and expressions of this magnificent piece of art.

No matter how many times I come here to this video to listen to this I never get bored of hearing it. Not many video games if any have that sort of impact on me today.

That moment when your playing for the first time, and you think this is some kind of cutscene due to ori and the blind forest's art style, and the water comes in and actually starts hurting you. Me:WHAT THE FUCK?! SHIT SHIT SHIT RUN! RUN ORI RUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN! Also, am I the only one that wants a pet ori or plush ori?

Went back to this last night on Switch seeing as I recently finished the sequel and even yet this tune still blows me away. The first time I heard it I got goosebumps I listen to it now I get goosebumps. Gareth Coker is simply incredible.

The first time I played Ori, it took me many tries to beat the Ginso Tree. The second time I played Ori, it took me four tries to reach the top. Then I jumped in the water so I could keep listening to this track. That's how good this is.

A friend showed me this and I instantly fell in love. I've never heard of Ori and the Blind Forest before until he showed me this. It's such an amazing song that I can't help but listen on repeat over and over again. My interest was HOOKED. I started looking on Steam and on KZfaq for as much gameplay as possible and I absolutely loved what I saw, definitely a game that I would seriously enjoy without question! My birthday is coming up, so hopefully I'll be able to get a hold of this beautiful gem of a game!

i fell in love with this track after playing enough of the game to listen to it. Its beautiful how is mixes serenity and urgency seaminglessly giving at the same time a sense of awe at what we're seeing and excitement at what we're experiencing. Definitly will be listening to it from now on ^^

Is it just me, or does this piece sound like it would fit perfectly into the Okami soundtrack? This game really reminds me of Okami, especially the Ginso Tree segment. Every aspect of this game is beautiful, from the art to the music to the story. It's a truly incredible game, and easily one of my favorite games of all time.

Super late to this but I beat this game for the first time and immediately came looking for this. Thank you. Hearing this for the first time solidified it as something awesome and special. This is one of my absolute favorite games.

I was estimating how much of a genius one have to be to write and compose a song like that, and it got extremely high. This masterpiece takes even more sense when you listen carefully to the sounds in it.

Thank you so much for this, you truly managed to convey that feeling of absolute tension and determination one feels running that level. Never have I ever experienced such a rush of emotions running through the Ginso Tree, my heart pounding ever harder the farther up I reached, filling with determination to not give up as I plummeted down yet again, and the sheer catharsis when I finally burst out on that jet of water; the euphoria of having made it still echoing today. I died close to or around a hundred times in my attempt according to the in-game counter, and I am a man who has never had the patience for games or levels that involve dying and trying over and over, but as so many others pointed out the sheer power of the music spurs one on to not give up. And it goes beyond that too, the mechanics of the game leave one feeling thoroughly empowered; for Moon Studios struck a truly fine balance between an incredibly powerful ability and not limiting it mechanically by methods such as cooldowns or mana dependence. Additionally, even the small details like the ting sound that plays when one gets near a bash-point and Ori's little yet so very determined voice as he dashes and jumps all work together to make one feel such a connection and drive to keep going despite the incredible challenge because you know that you will succeed.

In the section from 1:10-1:22 (and every time it repeats), it sounds like it's missing the piano part? Cause I'm listening to the OST and it definitely sounds different.

I get goosebumps just hearing this, when i was escaping and this music was playing my mind was officailly blown by ori and it cemented this game as absolute completely masterful work of art. Others feel the same about it im sure i cant be the only one.

The soundtracks and animation were the best things about the game. I absolutely loved everything about this game, except for the fact that there would be parts where the game turns into a really complex platformer and you had to do something in a certain order otherwise you're dead, but the music encourages you to keep trying it over and over again, and that's I spent an hour of every day for my entire summer break last year.
