Hey about the littering one: there's a big possibility that it wasn't a shitty person littering but birds. My area has a ton of seagulls and ravens depending on the season and those crafty little bastards throw shit EVERYWHERE. Ive watched them do it. But yeah, hopefully that gives you more faith in humanity and less in birds.

The most infuriating thing is stepping on the shoe thing as i relate badly. Mainly cuz recently i have started to wear my flip flops out around town as it has been hot here in Britain. Here’s a baguette recipe: 500 g all purpose flour/ about 3 1/2 cups 360 g water about 1 1/2 cups + 1 Tbsp 10 g salt about 2 tsp 3 g instant yeast about 1 tsp 25 g honey about 1 Tbsp Mix all of your ingredients together in a medium bowl. Leave for ten minutes and then fold. Repeat folding ever ten minutes for an hour and a half. Cover the top of the bowl with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for at least twelve hours. Preheat your oven to 500F or 260C Take the dough and form your baguettes. It will make three baguettes. Let the bread dough rest for half an hour. Cut slits in the bread. Transfer the bread to a baking sheet and place in the oven, cool the oven to 475F or 246C cook for fifteen minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 450F or 232C, rotate the loaves over, cook for fifteen minutes. And bam, baguettes!
