Proven by the Nat Geo themselves. A desert is a place that receives little or no rain. Antarctica gets snow, and it's different from rain. If they said precipitation, then Antarctica wouldn't be a desert.

Fun fact: masks are made of cloth, and cloth has holes, and the current masks dont do anything, a mask with a hang down at the nose will be safer since your germs collect at the bottom and not through the nose.

There is a episode of myth busters where they see if hail can sink a boat and they were trying to shoot it at a wooden boat it put a hole in the boat but they did not considered factual. The reason why the boat was wet.
