Most text is available in Russian. Short notifications pop up frequently. Statistics and descriptions are shown for most items in the game, including animals, buildings, visitors, and employees. The Zoopedia shows you even more thorough descriptions of the animals. Planet Zoo is good for beginners in learning to read Russian, especially if you love animals.
How much Russian speech you hear will depend on which mode you play in. There is speech in the career mode, but not in sandbox mode.
