I’ve dry skin but my skin is prone to milia and I could never slug. I also have an acne breakout and it is the worst. Urea moisturiser is the only thing that’s keeping my skin together.

I used to have lot of milia too, drinking atleast 2-3 litres of water everyday helped me alot. It just naturally went away. I have normal to dry skin. I also used to do a basic skin care of cleanser, hyaluronic acid and a basic moisturizer with sunscreen every morning. The same cleanser, hyaluronic acid and a vitamin c face mask at night.

I bought silicone face masks off Amazon and use them at night to slug. It helps keep my face gunk off my satin pillowcases

You can also do this with water if you drench your face in water and see which areas of your face dry faster

I doubt that's a good way to tell. not very scientific. you would have to get both sides covered with the SAME AMOUNT of water it this is basically pointless

Amazon has silicone face masks that are perfect for sleeping in when slugging. Keeps my pillowcases face gunk-free

this is a terrible way to figure out if your skin is dry or not. it probably just evaporated. it also makes absolutely ZERO sense because no one is going to apply the moisturizer completely even and the same exact amount on both sides unless you somehow take the time to measure it.... so this is a pointless experiment

@@katejohnson3598 to be honest i get where they’re coming from? bc we talk a lot about how skincare is too marketed as a “woman only” thing and how men need to be interested in skincare too and care about their skin. so from that perspective yeah i agree speaking about skincare in a gender neutral way is good actually

@@user-iq8gb9et7j i’m aware, what i said was that most skinfluencers and derms on youtube comment a lot on how skincare is seen as a woman’s area and men are too macho to do anything they associate with women, basically why men need rebranded packaging and even just sunscreens saying “FOR MEN” in big block letters. obviously this is primarily an issue with men, so maybe inclusion of “tips for everyone” and targeting skincare as less “this is for girls” isn’t a bad thing
