My favourite line from this is from Whis, when he exclaims "it's so wonderful, oh I hoped for this!"...which I came to find out wasn't the original line. When I met Ian Sinclair at comic con, he told me that they had already dubbed something for that part & when he went back the next day, asked if he could try something else and it's the line we got in the episode.

Ultra Instinct is a technique that was unique to the Angels (prior to Goku using it) a move even Beerus couldn't master. As for if Whis can use it, yes, except Angels are always in the instinct state

It's arguable, I'll accept it in that category. I mean there are very many. His transformation into the Golden Ozaru from GT is certainly Epic. That beefy child body all jacked and the semi-ozaru growl; he has. Sean Schemel's SSJ3 Yell; Gohan losing it vs Cell; Armin yelling for Eren as he dives out of a plain. The whole combination of the animation and the music as Eren witnesses his mother being eaten. There really are way to many, bruh. lol Hell, the theme song "Rumbling" all on its own is also epic. Still I prefer Goku's LAST and final A.U.I. transformation over the first one.

The first time watching these 2 episodes in the sub version were insanely powerful. I agree that the Japanese track over the fight is far superior. I also prefer Beerus voice line in the sub over the dub when whis asks him if he has any to say right before goku awakens. He says “he’s coming” vs “here it comes”. Makes it sound way more badass lol

Well no, it wasn't "just from his eyes" it was his energy; which is produced from his whole body. They eyes were just a visual cue that he actually DID something. Gust like when Gohan screamed and pushed all the Cell Jr's away. He used his energy. Jiren just did the exact same thing. It just LOOKS different. Like The Gallic Gun and the Kamehameha; they LOOK different, but they are the same attack. A constant beam/wave of energy. Also the Special beam Cannon or the Masenko or the Dondon Ray. They are all the same thing, just looking different and with different concentrations of energy.

It's a shame the anime decided to divert from the manga's version of these few episode. How Goku gets ultra instinct is shown and happens progressively...basically Goku had to completely clear his mind and emotion and fight purely on instinct. Master Roshi was actually the one who taught Goku, and demonstrated a kind of ultra instinct ability to Goku in the tournament.

You asked if whis can use ultra instinct or not.. Writer confirms that angles are always on ultra instinct...so whis is always on ultra instinct , even in his normal condition. And ultra instinct is a form that is very very tough to achieve even for gods but it can be achieved by anyone if they able to...its not like super saiyan transformation that you have to be a saiyan to transform into super saiyan.

Have really been enjoying these since I came across them a few days ago. You guys are great! Do you think it's necessary to put those bars across the little screen of the show though? I've seen plenty of sports highlights reaction videos that haven't had any copywrite problems that are set up like yours with a small screen but that are not visually obscured like that. One mistake I think they made with the Spirit Bomb, i think people from other universes should have gave their energy as well. I think it would make sense if other universes wanted Jiren to be defeated, and the attack wouldn't be a testament to Goku's power since a lot of it would be borrowed energy. Would also fit the whole mental warfare thing they were going for as well, as even with the energy of every universes fighter, (excluding U11), even that wouldn't be enough to take out Jiren.

This is my first time hearing the "Ultimate Battle" theme in English and it just sounds so wrong. It feels like it takes you out of the battle because of how odd it sounds. Definitely sounds better with the Japanese version.

It wasn't a zenkai boost it was a new technique he unlocked within himself. In the TOP Goku is just breaking his limits is all which is amazing but it's not a zenkai boost. Zenkai boost was only a thing in the frieza arc and akira toriyama even stated that saiyans could no longer get a zenkai boost.

Here's an interesting tidbit - Ribrianne is voiced by Veronica Taylor, AKA Ash Ketchum (OG 4kids dub) plus Ash's mother. Along with a bajillion other roles in the last 30 years. One of my favorite being Amelia from Slayers.

this is fun to watch but they censor a bit too much. Small screen, lower voice, seethrough video and lines through the screen. Its a bit too much i watched others reacting to this too and all they did is cover the screen with lines about 70%

It's funny how in the English dub it seems like Beerus is concerned about Goku, but in the Japanese version he was more concerned with Goku learning Ultra Instinct because it's something even he can't manage to do.

anyone who complained about the U6 saijans becoming super saijans easily but accepts UI is a joke. As if ultra instinct wasn't the biggest asspull of all time to bring Goku from having literally a 0.00% chance vs Jiren to suddenly being able to go toe to toe But we root for goku so we accept any power up and any explanation given if you can accept that you cant bitch about other characters also getting powerups

Eh? The music is exactly the same as the Japanese version. Unless you meant the lyrics from the opening, in which case, yeaahhh, it doesn't work very well.
