I’m sorry Taeyeon, but Gee is a timeless bop and I cried Sone-Luvie tears when Red Velvet covered it in blue jeans and white tees. SNSD is FOREVER the Nation’s GG, they invented photocards, member positions, and the members are still as we speak touring, singing, acting, etc. Every GG, even BGs have covered their songs, are familiar with their catalog, they are simply ICONIC and the most celebrated senior GG to this day. I’m not a Sone, but as a Luvie you gotta respect everything they’ve done for KPOP. Also as an SM group best believe these ladies mics were always ON!

When I listen to 'Genie', I feel like military music. I also like this song better than 'Gee', but I find it surprising that the difference in the number of views of the music video is more than 3 times. Taeyeon initially said that 'Gee' was not her favorite song, but when she performed this song at the street concert for 'Begin Again 3', many of the audience members knew the song and even started singing along with it. Taeyeon must have felt proud when you heard them humming!!! There are two versions of 'Begin Again 3', but the music performed by the four men and Taeyeon feels more cool than cute. Masu. By the way, Girls' Generation debuted in 2007, and 'Way To Go' was released at the same time as 'Gee', so it was in 2009.

i've heard gee invented colored skinny jeans~ the boy in gee is choi minho from shinee (as a rookie), he's the main rapper, he's also an actor. i believe soshi like shinee very much (i dont interact with fandoms much, i didnt realise "the bermuda triangle" was a named trio/phenomenon xD they're also the ones i ever struggled with) 2nd gen is a very leg-forward gen, but SNSD is and outstandingly leggy group~ lol ♡

11:10 it's funny you should say that, since Gee *was* one of the first kpop songs I heard and my reaction was instant "yuck!" 😂 When I discovered kpop I actually did not like SNSD at all or anything that I perceived them to stand for. I was an edgy teen, I hated cute 😂. I had only heard Gee and Oh! and I saw them to be talentless visuals whereas 2NE1 (the group that got me into kpop) where the opposite. SNSD were all 'oppa oppa I'll be down' and 2NE1 were all 'I don't care' 😂 🤦‍♀️ A lot of Blackjacks and Sones had a superiority complex about their group and both famously hated each other. I guess I got swept up in it a bit at first (though I kept those thoughts to myself, unlike a lot of LOUD fans at the time...some things never change) It didn't last though, because even though I 'disliked' Gee and Oh! they were still catchy as hell so I still downloaded them...yeah it didn't take long to convert to a full-fledged SoneJack lol...like a couple months at most. The more I got to know them the more I realised how wrong my first impression was And the funny thing is, even though I still love 2NE1, their music is very of its era and SNSDs music is a bit more timeless. So throughout the years, I keep coming back to SNSD again and again Way to Go is sooooo good live!
