On this week's video I'm joined by my sister-in-law, Kelly, for a hike in Talladega National Forest. We are heading out on a 3 day, 30 mile hike through Cheaha National Park. I have done a total overhaul on my hiking gear and I've been itching to get out on the trail and try it all out. Kelly and I are planning a big hike this summer that's going to keep us hiking together for weeks on end so we thought it was time to head out for a hike together to see how we did. As soon as we hit the trail, I felt myself starting to relax. The trail was beautiful! The weather was mostly perfect,(except for being cold at night), plants were starting to bud out on the trail, there were streams everywhere, there plenty of scenery to look at and I got to see some of the highest peaks in Alabama. We walked the miles, some talking and some in total silence, we pitched our tents, made our dinners, and tried to get some sleep. I was serenaded by the Whip-poor-wills on night one and the howling wind on night two.
