It can be tricky when you’re interested in someone at the same workplace. Be friendly but be aware of her reactions. I am sure you, like most men, wouldn’t want her to feel trapped in an uncomfortable situation. Start by asking her for one or two small favors. Benjamin Franklin observed that when a person does you a favor, they for some reason like you a little more afterwards. But, assuming she’s friendly in response, the tips in this video might help. If you do decide it makes sense to bring up the gift card, ask her if she likes that restaurant or that kind of food, and then say you would like to try the place but don’t have anyone to go with you. Then ask if she would like to join you. If she says yes, great. If she says no, just say something like “ok, well maybe some other time,” and continue being friendly. After that, observe her reactions to see if she wants to keep things strictly professional or does she act more friendly than that? Hold your head high either way knowing you are a worthwhile human being, and if she’s not the one, you will continue to meet awesome women throughout your life. The reason things usually go well when you least expect is because you are just focused on being yourself and living your best life - not on “does she or doesn’t she” - and that independent state of mind comes across as confident, which is one of the things women find appealing. Women in the workplace get goofy. They can suddenly lose interest because they see you too frequently and don't want to see you outside of work. Avoid.

@@Private-GtngxNMBKvYzXyPq she actually works in an area where if I need supplies, she’s the one I have to go to. Recently I’ve been going to get things I don’t even need just to see her. The other day I needed a pair of gloves but thought we didn’t have that size, and asked if she could order my size. She told me there were some back there, so she went back and got me a pair before she left work. Does that count? She didn’t have to do that at all and I told her it could absolutely wait but she insisted.

Dinner with her and child? No..first step would be coffee break..

I think I’m just going to bow out. I kind of feel like if I have to work this hard just to get her attention, she’s not interested. She’s super sweet and gorgeous, but it should not be this difficult.
