I've learned that Girls is a show that you either LOVE or HAAAAATE. I love it. I don't love Lena Dunham, that's for damn sure, but imo she created something great and I'm gonna miss the fuck out of it when it's over. And then Game of Thrones will come back and I'll forget all about Girls

Is Hannah really capable of growth?

I thought it was mostly very good. It's pretty hard to think anything other than "she wrote this episode because she wanted to make out with Riz Ahmed" watching those scenes, and I think she's actually all but said that in the press, but they were well-written enough so it's not too big an issue. Also Marnie and her sort-of-husband having sex seemed really trite. It was all worth it for the "fuck Paul Krugman" stuff, though

BIT behind on this show... BUT I also like Elijah, Ray, & Shosh. It was great to see Riz Ahmed, too, since I'm also South Asian/Muslim background. NOT a hater or a big fan of "Girls," it does have its moments. I LOVE the directorial style & music though- great work on that.

Man in TV it's so easy to follow your dreams. She went to The Moth once, told what seemed like the least interesting story that night, and then the NY Times published her and she got a job at a magazine. I get that the show isn't realistic but you could tell the same story in a far more believable way by showing her article in one of those smaller papers or free magazines and have her job tell her that they are hiring her freelance to write the surf story but if it turns out well she might get hired full time.

Weakest 1st episode of the entire series. It started off pretty good, but I just didn't care about the rest of it. And boy golly, Adam and Jessa are just as revolting together as I imagined they'd be.

Whatever the humor is called in this show is completely me, I mean I laughed out loud so many times where I ended up in tears. That's only ever happened with thr movie bridesmaids. So I'm super sad that this is ending... )": p.s. marnie with Ray I thought I'd love to see but in all reality I hated it. only because I hated what she did to ray. She tried to change him. Shosh was honestly the best "girls" for ray. this season pissed Mr off how they ended it with Jessa. it actually made me really dislike lena aka hannah because it's like soo lena is so insecure that she just HAD to make the pretty girl turn out to be the second pick, the last pick. Idk i was sad. I would have been happier if they would have shown Jessa leaving Adam as the STRONG independent woman she always was but instead she stayed in that sad sad depressing relationship??? noo.. i hated that they left Jessa in this way. every character got a good ending except for Jessa ):

Love the show...but I think it's character writing is a little off balance. There's not enough likable moments or characters to offset how awful they are to each other.

Wow, that was a boring episode, IMO. It's time for this show to go. The damn thing's been running on fumes for at least 2 years.
