It was beautiful. Lena singing over the credits was one of the most PERFECT moments of this show. It was contained, lovely, and honest in a way most things aren't. I don't LOVE this show, but this was as perfect as a finale can be. And it was nothing like i really wanted. CRAZY.

"You have to watch this show differently than you watch other shows". Absolutely. That's probably why this is one of only three shows I've bothered to watch in the last decade. Really going to miss it.

Well I was pretty much hate watching this show, at least it felt that the some of the girls had some growth. Hannah had growth through motherhood, marnie had growth through music and Desi, Shosh had growth through Japan. I'm not really sure Jessa had growth she stopped being an addict so sure

Jessa had growth thru Adam. The girl who never wanted monogomy or a normal life. We saw this when she broke down when he left her and she went back to that bar bathroom for a random tryst and she sobbed and whispered "I love you".

Would a show called "Boys" be a spinoff with Elijah? Would people want it?

Hell yeah! Elijah is easily the most fun and well-written character on this show. Bonus points if Ray and his new chick are part of the cast.

Yay! Was looking forward for your review. I agree, it was a what the fuck moment while watching but after reading and thinking about it you do get the feeling that it was perfect. Marnie is still on the search of finding the meaning of her life without other people in it and Hannah's mom was everything we needed to see. I'll miss your reviews dearlyyyy lots of love :)

When I watched the pilot six years ago, it literally never occurred to me to even abstractly consider that the weird guy with big ears would go on to be the main villain in the new Star Wars trilogy, particularly that (heresy incoming) I would then actually prefer that villain to Vader. SAD!

I thought it was pretty good, I watched this and the previous one back to back and the previous one felt more like a regular ending and this felt like kind of an epilogue (not that that's necessarily a bad thing, that seems to be pretty common now)

How mad will Hannah be with her mother if Marnie takes her advice and leaves? There goes your free nanny! Thanks, mom. The only bright side is that if Hannah brings guys back to her house and Marnie is gone, she won't have to worry about them wishing and fantasizing that they could have the model housemate instead. Nice to see that Hannah finally matured a bit at the end though. Finally, THAT NAME!!! Seriously, what a cruel thing to do to a child! Paul-Louis better play a HUGE role in this kid's life since he choose the most hideous name for a little boy. I'd hope that the namesake is the president at least, but everyone knows that Paulie's inspiration was a Sesame Street muppet. I know that hippie-dippie parents think that giving kids "unique" names is cute, but it just saddles the kid with embarrassment and ridicule for at least 18 years. Stop it, Gwyneth.

I'm surprised to see so many people, professional and otherwise, saying that Girls did something different by not tying everything up. To me, it all seemed pretty tied & cleaned up. We know, or at lest have an idea of where everyone is and where they're headed, right? Hannah has the job she wants, will be able to write when she chooses to, and is on her way to becoming an slightly less terrible mother. Jessa is what Jessa always has been; In the wind. Shosh has the friends & relationship she has always wanted. Marnie, out of all of them, is the least put together at the moment, but I still wouldn't say her future is completely up in the air.

And also, Tad and Lorene are divorced, Tad is in a serious relationship with a man now, Lorene is helping Hannah with the baby. Ray has started seeking the passion in his life inspired by Hermie and has fallen in love with a woman who is the anti-Marnie. Adam is at a loss for what to do with his career and his life and is settling for Jessa until something better comes along. Elijah got his big career break and is probably back with Dil. Caroline got the help she needed and came back to Laird and her baby. It was resolved enough without being too resolved. Everyone in your orbit doesn't just have a seismic shift in their lives all at one time. Some have had a major life marker, others haven't really changed, some are in a gray area floating in between two periods of their lives. Everyone's stories are still going on, even though we won't see them.

So this was supposed to be a show about the millennial gen so why the fuck did they read her article in a physical. Paper????? Yeah kind of like still using a floppy disc in 2005 or knowing what a floppy disc is. But yeah none of them read it on their phone or laptop? An article that trivial and one note wouldn't even make it to being printed, that blurb would be online even if she wrote it for the NYT

Dear lord, Ben... "This season of 'Girls'...; you can't make better television." LOL! Wut? Comparing a child's first experience to an adult's firstborn pregnancy is great writing ? Sounded kinda pedestrian... Or is that the genius of it? That it's so like something said in casual conversation therefore it's a real character and a real conversation and not just obvious dialogue that real people wouldn't say?... I don't see it. Mainly 'cause Marnie moving in, and doing it like that, seems like typical TVland logic. I like the show but it's hardly anything beyond a 7/10, man. It's objectively good, but it isn't great by any metric unless if it's just fan-service to the genre and type of story you're a hardcore fan of... That's my opinion, tho, so it's inevitably subjective sophistry as much as anyone else's opinion is.

Dead-Owl 911 I think so. They're complete narcissists and a tad sociopathic, but watching the show for me was so much fun. I would honestly say I enjoyed most episodes. Lena is incredible, I don't think you'll be let down.
