A friend of mine was just making fun of me for loving them back in the day. You know, of all the f'n 80's hair bands, it's actually girls who should wear the hair.

I saw them Nov 18, 1982 in Freiburg Germany and with Rainbow in der Stadthalle. I was 15 Years old.

@@EinmalUnbekannt I seen this same concert in Rüsselsheim I also seen them open for Rush, and some Christmas rock festival, now that one was a wild night! I remember somebody somekin' some hash and blowing it up toward Kim and in between songs she said to blow some more up there. It's funny the things you remember. But I liked them and I've got most of there records, bought back than of course. Good times!

The "way" was already paved by The Runaways or Heart in the 70s. It's not so much that they had to jump hurdles to make it as simply all-female bands were less common.

@@UnchainedEruption Yes, The Runaways are included, but I won't give you Heart. Heart was NOT an ALL girl rock band, not Girl "fronted" bands. If you include Heart, then you may as well include Pat Benatar & Patty Smyth, & Debbie Harry. Original comment was speaking of "all girl" bands only, like The Donna's & Vixen as well. All Girl Rock bands & Girl Fronted bands are 2 different things.

If you mean the Heavy Metal Barn Dance 1980 - yep! I was there! What a gig. Motorhead, Saxon, Girlschool, Angelwitch, Vardis, White Spirit and Mythra. We drove all the way from Essex - and on the way back home Saxon joined us at the service station. Early hours, maybe 1am or 2 am? The only people eating there were fans from the gig - brilliant memories.

TOTP was all mimed. Playing live was hardly ever an option and when it did happen, it hardly ever worked out well.
