"Like I ain't" isn't about people not recognizing his accolades, it's about him continuing his career like he hasn't acheived anything he has. He's acting like he's still on the come up. This is a humble song, not a flex like people think it is.

I love Tech. I've been listening since 2000, went to his Absolute Power Tour in like 2001-2002. My favorite stuff from him, is more of his older stuff. His first two Strange albums, plus his albums before Strange Music. I wasnt feeling a ton of the stuff he was doing with the Juggalos, but he's putting out fire lately as well.

People was focused on who was better between the East and West Coasts meanwhile my man Tech was taking the middle of America. (I live in Arizona and Tech has come through twice in the last 5 months on TWO separate tours! Man don't stop!)

2pac has an album called "loyal 2 the game" (If I remember correctly) there's a song on there called "thugs get lonely too feat. Nate Dogg."...there is an original version with no Nate Dogg and a completely different beat. That is the song he did with pac and when I say "did with pac" meaning they were in the studio together writing, this was before the internet and/or email. He also said " like I ain't been signed, not a once, not twice but three times"....In 93' Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (Janet Jackson's old producers) discovered Tech N9ne and he was signed to Warner Bros....Because he was so oddly different (the haircut that was shaved on the sides and back, long on top, Colored hair, painted face and even his content) they dropped him because they couldn't figure out how market him as artist. The second time was around 97' Quincy Jones' son had a record label, Qwest Records. He was there long enough to record an album, but the same thing happened and he got shelfed. The third was in 99' with J-cor records with Universal or Interscope being the parent label (slips my mind which one). The company ended going bust, not long after his first nationwide album was released in August. The first single "It's Alive" was supposed to have a video, but the label decided to 8-ball's (from 8-ball and MJG) video instead, he also had an album released from that label. He met Travis O'Quinn( the money man)and they started Strange Music and been rocking independently ever since.
