Tech has been around that long..I've been a strange music fan (Tech's independent label) for years. His discography is lengthy but man, Tech can do it all. Hopefully you'll also check out King iso and some of the others from his label cause they're good too. Tech has done songs with so many legends even tupac! Plus all these legends respect him.. he also painted the blue print for Independent artists too, lot of them get advice from Tech and go by that blueprint.

I'm from KC and have been listening to him since I was in high school. I am almost 40. Lol! Try his old stuff to see where he came from. He puts lots of KC references in his music to show our city love.

Its cool to see people discovering Tech in 2020. Been a fan since Anghellic and even back then could tell Tech would become a legend. Enjoy going through his discography and his journey man, its a hell of a ride.

You would enjoy fragile, also red nose is a good intro song to him. He has some dark songs that dig into his personal life like show me a God and wither featuring corey Taylor as well. He did a song with Tupac that is good, not the greatest representation of him as he was still young and learning how to count bars and write that way. Back in the 80s and early 90s he would just rap until he felt like he was done and didn't structure it like he does since.

I love the work tech does with Jelly Roll. I accidentally found jelly through his music. Check out "Easier 4 u" by tech and jelly roll. Amazing song.

Just to put in perspective, Tech SHOULD be in everyones top 5 DOA, doesn't even matter if you like him or not. He's been running the rap game since the 90s and schooling people since the 80s, don't even need to mention the fact he's the #1 independent rapper of all time and has done more as an independent than what most guys signed to major labels do, alongside obviously building the biggest independent label in the world. But his raw ability to, his lyricism, his writing, the cadence, his control over his vocals, Tech has mastered it all. Everyone in the game respects Tech and if they don't they don't get taken seriously themselves.

So back story to this song, he's saying he can make you other rappers outdone by getting on a track with him. The names he put out there about the top spot before the beat drop were giving a nod but saying yo my name needs to be there with them too. If I aint in your top 5 or 10 talks you need to redo that list. He was referring to twisted insane when he said stuff about the credit score and from that point on. Twisted insanes real name is Michael Johnson so when he said I know Michael johnson is one of the fastest rappers in the game but thats not what I'm here for im here for rocking the mic... the beef with twisted insane was due to tech n9ne signing king iso a rapper formerly signed to twisted insanes label and there was a small bout with king iso and twisted insane and twisted felt tech sided with king iso so he made a song or two dissing tech n9ne in those regards.

He owns the studio, owns the rights to all his own music, is his own producer, has been featured on and with Bone Thugs, Busta, Twista, the entirety of the Chopper nation basically and they've been on his albums as well. He’s from my home town Kansas City... a couple of his songs mention specific streets / and areas in the city. His recording studio is in KC and I believe he’s self produced which gives him a ton of creative control of what is put out. He’s very beloved here in Kansas City! He’s even done special recordings for the Royals when they won the World Series and Kansas City Chiefs after the super bowl win a couple years ago.
