Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with several students at The University of Arizona - Tucson. Recorded in October 2008.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Maybe God should have done this, maybe God should not have done that, maybe God should have created him, maybe God should not have created her, maybe God should have only created those who will follow him, maybe not......the basis of these types of arguments are that people should not be held responsible for their actions, whether one will end up in heaven or hell is based on what they knowingly choose, and thats what the youth in the black shirt does not want..

Why??? because he and I Have Inherited Adam's sin.... No matter if he has only told one lie, It doesn't matter!!!! if you tell one lie or a million lies your a liar... No liar no thief no fornicator no adulterer Will inherit the Kingdom of God! 1st Corinthians 6:9. God cannot allow sin to be in HIS presence!!!!! That's why we all must repent and believe the gospel ... Acts 17:30. When we Truly repent Christ's righteousness is A mediately imputed to us who believe.... Not because we deserve it or we earn it but because God is merciful to those who call upon HIS NAME 🤗🥳👍🙏🙏🙏❤.

GOD could have created a world in which nobody goes to Hell. HE did in fact, but man decided he would rather have this world instead. Now we live in a world where we experience a sample of what Hell is going to be like and GOD has told us it doesn't have to be this way forever (although there is no reason why it shouldn't). The majority of the people on this planet still would rather reject GOD's offer of salvation and keep things deteriorating as they are.

This whole concept of who Christ is can get very confusing sometimes... And I'm not sure I fully understand it myself. On the one hand, you have God the father speaking to Christ as he was baptized, "This is my beloved son" You also have Christ saying, "I can do nothing of myself but what I see the father do" And again in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Father, if though be willing, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless not my will, but thine be done" and again on the cross, "Father, why hast though forsaken me? ...into thy hands I commend my spirit" To me, this very clearly illustrates that God the father and Jesus Christ are separate beings. On the other hand, you have scriptures like, "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word WAS God" "If you have seen me, you have seen the father" "I and the father are one" "Before Abraham was, I AM" So how to we reconcile all this? After careful consideration, I truly believe God the Father and Jesus Christ to be two separate beings who are one in purpose. Christ was with the Father from the beginning as the word of his power. God the Father commanded, and Jesus did the will of the father. Through the will of the Father, Jesus created the heavens and the earth. Even when he was scared of going through the pain of suffering and death, he submitted to the will of the father. Jesus represented God in every degree, so if we see him, we would see the father. He was a representative of the Father in every conceivable way except for physically. At least, that's how I understand it.

The guy doesn't realize that it's a contradictory idea - *thus illogical* - to have both free will and a God not allowing people that will disobey him to be born. Now a good point he made is about eternal suffering in hell for some humans not being consistent with a loving God ( _still debatable tho_ ) but i don't believe the Bible teach's eternal suffering for unbelievers, it teach's eternal *DEATH.* _meaning, no more coming back, you're done for good, destroyed out of existence, body and soul_ . So in that light, it's simple and clear. You want to be with God here, you'll be with God for eternity in a really good place. You don't want anything to do with God? Ok., but because HE LOVES YOU, he won't force his presence upon you, thus he will do the next best thing a JUST and LOVING God can do., He will *terminate your existence*, probably in a lot suffering according to your works here.

@Darren Quiah The punishment for sin is death. ( The wage of sin is death; the soul who sins will die etc),. ( The lake of fire is the second death); ( Fear HE who can destroy body and soul in the lake of fire ).... And the duration is eternal. I believe that's what the bible teach's about eternal punishment. Some people believe you'll be conscious for eternity but i don't think that's what the bible teach. I'm going to comment again on this very topic that I think I commented on in the past. End of doing a good job with that in fact including mentioning his brother losing his daughter. What does young man is missing and doesn't seem to understand and this was even one of the very problems in heaven, when there was the war in heaven Satan thought that he knew better than God and wanted to be God or the most high he is at war with God in heaven and even took a third of the angels with him when they were cast out because he wanted to take over God and take over heaven. And the main reason why he wanted to take over heaven it's not that he was righteous and you better than God he would know how to be a better ruler. And so when this young man says what he said he's trying to say like Satan I know better than God. But I don't fault this man for thinking he's not literally trying to be God but you just misunderstand what God has said. Lastly, it's actually very very simple if God knowing who will choose to do wrong or right or choose to turn from him or not was to kill everyone or not allow them to be born just to avoid the bad choices, then he would be as guilty as Satan said. Satan's challenge in heaven had to be downplayed for a tooth me I apologize played out had to be played out if this whole scenario didn't take place the fall of Man sin Jesus dying on the cross there is no way that you could prove the father to be loving and merciful and righteous nor would it save us because of the fact that if he just kept killing people to shut them up every single time including the ways he did had to sometimes in the Bible then say it would be right he's just an evil dictator when in fact it's Satan he wants to be the evil dictator. I could say more but I won't please think on this if anyone is pondering this for the very first time or doesn't know the gospel or doesn't understand God in his purpose please think about this and read carefully and his scriptures especially in the gospels God's love is perfect. I hope this came out okay because I'm using my microphone to come legally blind and sometimes it does and sometimes it does not I smoke slowly and carefully so I hope it. God bless you all!

I don't know if you'll see my comment above, or in this thread, but I would like to quickly Express you is the answer to your question. If God does not allow these people to be born or they choose evil or choose good if he doesn't allow them to be born then he does not allow free will he makes robots he chooses who he wants to behave exactly as he wishes. Secondly and lastly and it would prove Satan right and Satan is not right Lucifer in heaven before he became Satan got jealous of God challenge God because he wanted got the power he wanted to be higher than God and even took a third of the angels with him to try to do so because he thought he could do better than God which was quite arrogant. So therefore can you see that if God had done what you suggested that it would make Satan look correct as in God being unjust or selfish or trying to steal the thunder so to speak he had to let everything play out to prove that he was just in Fair. Now it goes deeper than that but I didn't want to speak too long. I hope this comes out okay as I said before I'm legally blind I have to use my microphone have a wonderful day.

Easy answer to this, If 'only god' has free will and he chooses to send us to hell (since we have no free choice), then he can't be considered good. If he isn't considered good then any worship is pointless as he has no obligation to honour the deals he has set out in the bible. You could be 'regenerated by jesus christ' on earth and he could just send you to hell anyway because ....he isn't good.

The destination of heaven and everlasting life is all God has to offer man, and this offer is the epitome of happiness and success. Those who choose it not, have blown it. Who in their right mind would want to be destroyed in hell? The answer is no one. So why will only a remnant make it to heaven? The answer is many succumb to satan's temptation by choosing to not believe that Jesus Christ is God who became a man. They choose to not humble themselves before God. They choose to not accept God's free offer of everlasting life. They believe satan's lies instead of God's truth. And they perish. Could it be that their weeping and gnashing of teeth is because of extreme regret when they realise they have thrown it all away.

This guy assumes he knows God's intentions. If you eliminated all the people who were going to hell, there is no way to know that the remaining people will STILL go to heaven. It just may be possible that people turn to God when they see the evil and suffering caused by others around them. God's objective IMO, is to allow the maximum amount of people to freely enter his fellowship. A possible world where fewer people enter heaven is less favourable.

Great comment because God says he will make even good things out of evil not that he makes evil things good but he can take something bad or evil and make something good out of it such as say that burning house that the guy was giving me as an example, say that person who was dying in the house or was going to be burning in the house was Helen who in fact was a sinner and was going to perish for life but he went in and rescued him he saw the grace of God by using this young man to rescue the person in the house and therefore gave his heart over to God because he saw the miracle of God's heart changing someone else's heart to go in and save him. As well as there are many examples where some people see tragedy or see Miracles they change the hearts to God or vice versa I have unforeseen own many people to be loving to God and then they change their mind to give their heart away from God because say their son died of cancer or their house was robbed and they turn away from God because they don't understand it does work both ways. But the fact is God will allow situations to happen and you let them play out by free will and if that person had not lived therefore nothing saved from that burning house there for not turning the heart over to God then they would have been saved it would already be dead in the first place because they weren't created but again if Satan didn't watch this play out then he would think he could still accuse God of not being merciful to be smart to be a quick thinker to be fair to be righteous and so forth.

Even if God could create a stone so heavy that he couldn't lift it, but he could still lift it they wouldn't be pleased with that answer. When Jesus humbled himself, he wasn't able to lift a mountain, but God the father could lift everything, by everything I mean everything, he's the very backbone by which anything haseaning, definition, and without him there's no category by whoch to define anything, without him there's literally nothing. That's why God reffered to himself as I am, to refer to himself as something would be to categorize him which would be wrong since he's like nothing else, he is, because he's the foundation by which anything is. There's no is outside of God that can give God categorization. I'm eating so I wasn't able to fully explain my reasoning, so give me your opinions if you think I'm wrong so that we may reach the teuth together.

I don't think the reason such a world doesn't have to involve any contradiction is because God's nature makes it so. Do we even know that this young man believes that there is a God as he professes to know what God should do as the creator of the universe. There's a large number of atheists who profess to know and judge the morality of God in what God should or shouldn't do and then use that argument to say that there is no God because of the choices God made. Why do Atheists suppose to know God knowing better than God how God ought to be. They don't even believe in God yet use their judgement to defy and deny. Knowing better than the Creator How creation should have been created. We do not have to live in this world. We are free to remove ourselves from it. For creation to exist (with relationship) this is the best that creation can be otherwise it would have been created differently. God is just and all knowing. Not only has creation been given but also the Creator has given Himself. So not only can we curse the creation but also the Creator. Our free will can deny his existence and deny his relationship. Then we can curse Him for leaving us alone. This was the best that love had to offer otherwise love would have been unable to exist. And because of this free gift you are able to curse God, deny his love and replace it with your own virtue and self-righteousness. Deny his love And say that your love is better and that God is wrong and cruel. But if you don't believe in God. Natural order should have been less cruel to your existence. Is it self determination and belief that you are fit for survival? In this harsh reality. If it is meaningless and without purpose why suffer the consequence? You cannot know love because without God love would not exist. You would be like every other creature created. This was the best and the best is yet to come. Because God so loved the world and gave you his only begotten son So that you might not perish but have eternal life. This is The Love that God has given to you This is The Love and the only creation that could make that love possible You have freedom You have choice You have relationship A relationship without the freedom to choose is not really a relationship at all. A relationship chosen, is real, Love actually has an existence then because love itself is vulnerable. You have free will and you can choose. it is man's worship of the created rather than the Creator that separates them from God. Man was created in God's image so that the image of God could be shared between mankind So that we could have relationship. We are his glory. God created his glory so lovingly That he would suffer being rejected by his creation. Mankind, a creation reflecting his likeness is the only creation able to freely reject His love. What would have been God's options for our creation? 1. No world at all vs. this world 2. Creating a world where there would have been no such thing as good or evil - an amoral world 3. Creating a world (constraint) where we could only choose good. 4. Creating this kind of world where there would be the possibility of Good and evil and we are given the option for the privilege of freedom and making the choice. Out of these four options this option is the only universe and the only world in which Love is possible In the previous three love is not possible at all. No Love. No Free will.

I don't know what you mean by "righteous", but judging by your comment there is only "evil" and "not evil". If you think that not righteous (which you say we are not) is evil (which is all that's left) then you have at least one good reason as to how your faith is a problem in the world. All you see is evil--that is irrational, misguided, and extremely unhealthy. Bad things and worse happen, but this doesn't show at all that humans are innately evil. Cliffe missed the point about why we have sin in this world in the first place. Because Adam ate of the fruit. From that moment on man has been living in a degrading world where man has free will, and man has suffering. That is why we need the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, so we will enter into eternity with the One True Living God, in a New heaven and new earth. But i guess you can't really blame him because he thinks that Genesis is Hebrew poetry, and it seems like he completely disregards the old testament. But, he also reads a perversion of the Bible, so his Bible does have contradictions and takes away from the deity of Christ.
