Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Күн бұрын

Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I've watched all the evangelists on the internet and Cliffe is the kindest most rational, most humble, most generous and most effective preacher I have ever seen. He makes people WANT to listen. I aspire to be like him...like Jesus.

I have watched many of these. It's so nice to see one where there is actual thoughtful discussion and respect on both sides. Cliffe always does a great job, but it's so refreshing to see a crowd and those with questions exhibit open-mindedness and engagement with him. :)

Very good Cliffe with the last point. I totally understand that subject with the last student which was very powerful. The bible may be 2000 years old but the life that we live still happens & is still relating up until this day. Cliffe keep going dude, your awesome :)

Thanks for sharing askcliffe, you always have a way of making the message easier to understand and by the grace of the Holy Spirit may your words move fellow brothers and sisters to Christ. If you're ever in Chicago I'd like to come check out a talk sometime. Thanks for your time and spreading the message.

When the guy argued that God is "just is", he is technically correct because God's name is "I am" which literally means "God is, was, and always will be." Thus, God literally is the essense of "to be" and "just is".

How are people convinced by this?
@blakemecklenburg8940
@blakemecklenburg8940 9 жыл бұрын
Andrew Becker They're convinced because they haven't bothered to actually check their beliefs. Cliffe is one of the most dishonest apologists I've ever seen. He throws out red herrings constantly, uses analogies that don't fit the context of the conversation, and his body language....ugh...don't get me started on his body language. He talks to everyone as though they were three. I've read studies on this kind of body language. He uses it to assert a kind of authoritative position in the discussion. Grade school teachers do the same thing, because it grabs the attention of the students and emphasizes their speech, because you know, children are incapable of paying attention for longer than 3 seconds (or some shit like that). The problem with it in this situation is that by using it, he is showing that the people he is speaking to are not on equal footing with him.

@@blakemecklenburg8940 just because my biology teacher can bored me to death with his tone and demeanor does not make his teachings wrong, only a coward would focus on something like that lol. Looking for insignificant ways to disprove someone is a sign of being afraid to discuss or debate that person, grow up kiddo.

They already are doing things from brave new world. The young people aren't all finding a purpose as a result. Other people who are effective are being taken out and taken from by those who don't need to give to those who can't understand. On the location of God, he reached into our realm through the "veil" in the book of Daniel to write on the wall, the judgement. God is with us, but not seen literally where we are, with our ability to view Him. Some people can perceive the spiritual realm and some can see beings that are trying to interact with us from that realm. It's not repeatable enough to provide enough empirical evidence to be proven to those who disbelieve. It's also difficult even for believers to perceive, but has been documented by science and often explained away. There are scientists who study phenomena of the unexplained.

I love your ministry Cliff, but I do wonder where you get your definition of Hell from because I cant find any scriptures to describe it the way you do.
@1godonlyone119
@1godonlyone119 9 жыл бұрын
I'm quite sure that Jesus never used the word "hell" anyway. In fact, the word "hell" also does not appear anywhere in the Old Testament either. Jesus spoke of a place called "Gehenna." Also, he spoke of unrepentant sinners being banished to "outer darkness," and he spoke of not knowing those who on the Day of Judgement remain unrepentant: All of this supports Cliffe's accurate description of what "hell" means.

Horus is not God. He is at best a demigod (in Christian parlance, an "angel"). Also, the Vedas and Upanishads are facts and historical accounts, not mythology.
