Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

8 жыл бұрын

Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with students at Texas State University. Recorded in October 2014.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I’ve recently been born again as of Nov. 2018. I always believed in God and became a lukewarm Christian over time. I did shrooms, drank, but mostly smoked pot everyday. I look back and can’t believe how patient Jesus has been waiting for me (I’m 39). I have been saved by an angel or Jesus (not sure at the time) at least twice, but possibly 3 times. A voice told me to let off the gas pedal when I was going through an intersection, as soon as I did, a truck blew a stop sign that would have killed me. I also fell asleep at the wheel another time and WOKE up while driving sitting upright and very much positioned like a robot. I ended up on the other side of town somehow! Fell into a pool’s deep end as a child, somehow my mother knew to check on me and pulled me out. I had another experience where I was praying for a relative that was brutally murdered and burned alive years prior. I was HIT like a sledgehammer with unexplainable peace and joy. Instantly tears poured out of my eyes and I had the breath sucked out of me, totally winded. It was like I was experiencing the joy of heaven but my human body could not handle it! I also experienced an interaction with several demons in the basement of a psychic lady’s house who summoned them and spoke to them nightly. The fear and anger I felt as their eyes pierced my soul was like nothing of this earth......,over and over and over Jesus was calling me!!! I was too much of a fool to notice, even though I believed in Him! In November of 2018, after a minor argument with my fiancée, I heard a demon’s voice talk to me telepathically in my mind- “I hate you, I’ll kill you and tear your family apart.” With the most conviction in my soul I commanded that thing to leave my house in the name of Jesus Christ. Every room in the house I yelled at it. I felt our Lord blast through my house and beat those things down! Whoosh gone! I prayed and thanked him and repented for allowing them to get close to me. He talked to me telepathically asking me questions and made me feel the guilt of my sins. Lots of information as a sort of psychic download into my heart and mind simultaneously. Question 1: “After all I’ve done for you, what have you done for Me, and others?” Question 2: “Am I NOT enough for you?” Then, the weight of my sins lifted, it was incredible. Since that moment, I’ve had no desire to drink, smoke, blaspheme, masterbate, be angry, stressed out or sin at all. Wanting to share love with no other possible explanation. I notice the tiniest signs he puts in my path....I see them right away and chuckle, seeing He really does work in mysterious ways. I fully understand how to have a relationship with him and not need to physically see or hear our relationship. He is incredible people! Let him into your heart! I had felt in my soul the the extremes of joy and sorrow through just some of my life experiences..... Feeling the presence of God and Satan deep inside through strange encounters. For that, I am blessed to KNOW Christianity is the truth, yet I STILL tried to not fully commit. He wants us all to repent and accept Him. He actually told me this! Don’t think you can sin all your life and God will be OK with it. He really will reward you if you follow with all your heart!! @@eeeaten cliffe is a perfect example, it's fair to say he has lived a good morally life, he is a preacher with a stable family who doesn't abuse substances and who also helps a lot of people yet on many videos he confesses to having evil thoughts, you don't need to act on evil in order for it manifest in life. We are morallly corrupt any way you put it, we need Jesus in order to avoid these evil thoughts.

My testimony involves me wondering how God loved me even though I was in a works based salvation mentality. Before I learned of grace, two questions troubled me: - How God could love me without telling me whether I'm saved or not. - How I could love God if I only wanted to meet the requirements to get into heaven and then planed to disregard God after I had met the requirements. I was using God to get into heaven. I did not care about God and I didn't know how I could care about him. I knew he loved me somehow but I didn't know how to love him back. Thankfully, I learned about grace and these questions about my relationship with God have been answered. I know I'm saved because I see the change God has made in my life, especially the love he has given me of others. I know that loving God is now a response to the free gift of salvation. Knowing that I can not contribute at all to my salvation and that it is completely by the grace of God that I can be his child causes me to do things for him out of gratitude. It no longer feels like a burden to work for God. Before, I planned to work for God until I was saved. Now I work for God because I am saved. If you don't believe that there is a God that loves you, as well as looking at the gospels, you might want to take a look at the lives of missionaries; People who go overseas for the sole reason of loving others and spreading the gospel. Some of these missionaries dedicate 20 years of their lives to translating the bible into a language spoken by only a few thousand people. Now if God is not motivating them, I don't know why anybody would go to such extremes to pursue selfish ambition. There are far easier ways of making people think you're a good person or whatever you think might motivate them to do such a thing. Hearing about missionaries for the first time was what made me realise that the version of Christianity I had in my head might be incorrect. I thought to myself, "I can never sacrifice as much as these people. They must know something about God that I don't. Because the only way they can be doing the things they are doing is if God is personally motivating them to. And that means it's not out of their own strength that they love God, but through relying on him." And I was right. Learning that there was nothing I could contribute to my entering heaven changed everything. It freed me to love God when I allowed him to carry me instead of relying on myself to love him.

If my earthly father witnessed me getting sexually assaulted as a boy, he'd have shot my assaulter and tried to stop it from happening. Then, he'd have sought me help.. Heavenly Father witnesses me getting sexually assaulted as a boy and He looks down disapprovingly and "stands there with me?".. Then, doesn't dare show me how that assault closed my heart... Seems about right.

I don’t know what you’re going through so I won’t pretend to. You’ve been in a lot of pain, we all need people who loves and cares for us, not a militant philosopher trying to persuade your way of thinking. This type of video isn’t for you, it isn’t targeting your experience. Please don’t watch this and think it’s bogus simply because it doesn’t relate to your specific story. @@xodemon6681 morals evolve with society. that's why new laws are always needed and old laws are often discarded. it's why we don't have churches making our laws. otherwise slavery and wife beating would still be legal.
