Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with students at Texas State University. Recorded in October 2016.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

The early church fathers (Ignatius, Clement, et al) quoted the gospels and other NT books so often that even if we had NO manuscripts from any date, you could still recreate the entire NT except for 11 verses.

21:50 he says repentance is being sincerely sorry for the wrong you've done and this is wrong. Repentance is changing your mind. I was addicted to porn for years. I was sincerely sorry for the wrong I was doing before, during, and after watching porn and masturbating. I never changed my mind on that and telling God I'm sorry before, during, and after sinning was never a change of mind. My stance on being sorry was consistent and nothing changed. The habit also remained because my mind never changed. Therefore, to truly repent, you must seek the root lie that is causing you to sin. My root lie I believed in making me a lust addict was that I had no free will in the matter. I believed it was just something I had to live with, I had no choice and no power to stop, and that it was a sin from my father passed down to his son and a curse I had to live with for life. This was all a lie. Once I knew it was a choice and I could always choose the right thing and that God, with every temptation, provides a way out, then I was set free, able to choose God's way every time I am tempted and able to have power over it by the power of the truth of the Word of God I hold most dear. The addiction is broken and now, I don't even lust after women and have zero desire to do so and have not lusted after a single woman for 18 months now. This is the true power of true repentance. Yes, repentance does involve feeling sorry, but is so much more than that - it is finding the lie inside and erasing it with truth.

artbyrobotthis this is incredible! Ive walked with the Father for hours a day in scripture and teaching only to look at pornography the moment i get home. For me the challenge seems to be impossible because im unattractive making me single and lonely further verified by constantly being ignored by women despite my kindness

@@charlieallen8643 That is a demoralizing situation, however, victory over lust is still an option for you. I can tell you that the notion that lust problems go away if you just find a hot wife to marry is a lie. I married a hot wife and still was full of lust and wanted all the other hot women. I had the womanizer heart still. I still looked and lusted and was a porn addict even with a wife. Realistically, 1-3 times a week with wife is the MAX and in many cases it is more like twice a month especially after years of marriage. This means you will still be daily porn watching like before to get your regular lust fix. The habit doesn't go away and it does NOT get easier if you have a wife. While single you still can and should defeat this monster.

Those people that he mentioned were all Catholic. If you read what Ignatius and Clement wrote, you would see that they are still taught by the Catholic Church while rejected either in whole or in part by Protestants.

It seems like that there are times when these people ask a question then try to support it. The more they talk the more they seem to put themselves into a corner. They don't seem to have really thought it out and get hung by there own tongue.

The creed was there and St. Paul learned from Peter and James. He gave his rendering and says the apostles including John, added nothing to him. This is within a few years he did this Paul went back up to Jerusalem years after that and checked himself with them again. He wrote it down in 1 Corinthians 15. He described his knowledge and information coming from the time he sought to learn the creed from the apostles.

There is a drug called atheism. Once tasted it's hard to go back to the matter of fact called God. Atheism will make you soar. Soaring and exploring galore. But there is real life. And though I have begun my journey given to me by Jesus Christ, along the never ending pathway of eternity, God will never cease to exist. And as great as I become, God will always be greater, infinitely greater. I accept that. But the atheist won't. He has tasted the drug of atheism. He likes it. He savours it. Even if the the taste is euphoric I will go without that self deceitful destructive taste. Stay far away from drugs. Run from atheism. It will destroy thee.

If dear Richard Dawkins reads that he’ll jump into the fridge with his spaghetti monster calling out for Mumma. Haha haha Where did that guy come from? They say he’s a scientist but I heard he was a used car salesman selling vintage Bentley’s to Britain’s gentry but he ran out of customers so he decided to really go into the BS business and before you know it there’s all these pigeons going wow Richard we can’t afford a Bentley but we’re just loving this tripe you are dishing us up. The Queen won’t have a bar of him but he’s really hanging out for the title of Sir but he’s not going to get it. Apparently the Queen said she’d rather give it to Jack the Ripper. Also the Duke said a bunch of stuff about him that’s almost unmentionable but needless to say it wasn’t particularly complimentary. Nope he’s no favourite of the Royals that’s for sure. Apparently Chsrles’s tried to bribe him with his own second hand Bentley dealership but when he knew he wasn’t going to become a Sir he told Charles to shove it. He’s now trying to get the complimentary title of Colonel like Colonel Sanders and Colonel Parker but I reckon the American public will revolt at the idea no matter how nicely Richard speaks with his lovely accent. Because they know a turkey when they see one and hey I’m not talking about Thanksgiving Turkey. I’m talking about a talking turkey with a lovely British accent that’s sold more than one used car too many.

Most people do not want to die to self by getting born again, Baptized in Fire by Jesus Holy Spirit, they rather want to stay in their sin and play god themselves under their own terms and will! It's not fun to admit that we all have a inherited sinful nature that nailed and murdered Jesus! That resume of ours is not beautiful and good, therefore people rather like to deny the truth about who Jesus really is! Not many are willing to humbly admit how seriously sick our sinful nature really are from within! Jesus said; I have not come to the healthy but to the sick, you say you see, your sin remains! We all need His forgiveness and Jesus Holy Spirit inside of us, He make of us His Temple were He lives and dwell! This is all about Jesus Grace towards us! ✝

It would be really cool if Jesus could have written down his word on supernatural tablets ( maybe the size of an ipad), which were made of a material which would be impossible to destroy, erase or edit. He could have these tablets placed all over the globe written in the language of the region.

I realize that's difficult for many men to accept. Nevertheless, there are plenty of people that is not the case for. Even with that being the case, Paul wrote his letters between 40-60 AD? So maybe saying he quotes the New Testament is a better way of saying it but the point is he quotes it
