Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Жыл бұрын

Program 2422 ................... - Relativism - Evidence or Proof - True Faith .................................................................
Recorded at Texas - September 2021.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

So sometimes yes, Someone like Cliffe needs to put them in their place. But there are times are more calming approach is more effective.

It's... insanity though. Look at the arrogance in this Jacob kid at the end. He's completely morally bankrupt, he's accepted there's no moral absolutes to ANYTHING in life, he's cocky and knows little to nothing about theology and philosophy, and by the smug look on his face at the end he's incredibly PROUD of it. And this isn't even the exception these days, snotty kids like him are the norm in college, just a bunch of arrogant kids raised to be Relativists and hate God and are proud of it. There are some things that are harder to discern, but everybody intellectually knows basic right/wrong. Like if torturing babies for fun is wrong. Everyone knows that basic thing to be wrong. But the point Cliffe made - one day u prefer this & the next day you prefer the opposite. You're not wrong, it's just a taste. And the kid agreed with him (probably for the sake of being consistent), but we all know it's impossible to live out. Which means there has to be an objective standard beyond humanity. TRY TO ANSWER THE CONTRADICTIONS IN THE BIBLE QUESTIONS The Bible is an Unreliable Authority Because it Contains Numerous Contradictions. I used to like watching these videos more. Maybe I've grown or maybe Cliff has regressed, but I see more and more Cliff domineering people, coming with an argumentative energy, misrepresenting arguments by others and going down tangents. I saw this especially with the second guy, Jacob, though Cliff matched the first guy's unfriendly energy. Cliff also goes into talking points even when they are only somewhat relevant to what is being talked about, which doesn't come across as very strong as far as discourse is concerned. Conversely, his son is excellent and, most importantly, comes off as friendly & approachable even in disagreement. Cliff may want to humble himself in mirror to how his son humbles himself. Thanks as always for putting these up.

Descartes wrestled with the issues brought up by the first young man. "I think therefore I am" is a statement recognizing that consciousness is a reality, therefore I can trust my reason. If I didn't have consciousness, my brain is the same as a rock, or just material. If I can trust my reason, I can trust reality and the laws within it. The evidence of God is clearly seen from creation. It’s very unfortunate when we want to live our lives the way we want too and not acknowledge there is a personal intimate God. With any none believer, when a believer debunks a point they make about there is no god, the none believer jumps onto another topic to try to win. Folks, please especially if you are a none believer; get to know who Jesus Christ is. We only have one chance in this life. He is righteous enough that if we acknowledge and submit to him. He will walk with us through this life but if we reject him, he respects that and separates himself from us for eternity. Consider the choice you make today, tonight. There are many religions and people choose what suits them best - why should you believe Jesus is the only way ? Did you know the false theology story preached in churches is very different to the correct understanding of the Hebrew texts Bibles are translated from ? @@trumpbellend6717 You need to look up what the fine-tuned universe means. "If the values of any of certain free parameters in contemporary physical theories had differed only slightly from those observed, the evolution of the Universe would have proceeded very differently and life as it is understood may not have been possible." The physics and math behind everything that allows ANY life to be possible in the entire universe is set so that there may be life. If certain things which allow the fundamentals of life were slightly off in any one of the 20+ requirements that are within the livable range, there would be zero life anywhere in the universe. Thats what that means. And the time required in order for it to have been random wouldn't make sense given the age of the universe. Learn something my boy.
@trumpbellend6717
@trumpbellend6717 Жыл бұрын
@@TheRealTrucido Ok let's dismantle this "fine tuning" diatribe shall we. First thing to note is your inability or unwillingness to address the points I had previously mentioned. I.e the sheer size of the universe and why if the universe is actually "fine-tuned" for life, why is it so ridiculously devoid of it? Nor could you provide any answer as to why a "God" would "create" such a huge number of species only to then let them go extinct ? Just what was their "purpose" ? Indeed just what is the purpose served by the multitude of diseases aledgedly created by your God?? Bone cancer that kills millions of Children and causes them and their families untold suffering. Tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, droughts, ect just how do they _"SUPPORT LIFE"_ ?? 🤔🤔 Your argument regarding the laws of physics being "fine tuned" is highly falacious. It bifurcates the laws of physics into constants and equations, into which you ask me to consider what would happen if the constants changed but the equations stayed the same, and imply that nothing would work if the constants were altered even slightly. But what if we were to consider that the equations could change, also?🤔 In that case, we must admit that we have no idea and thats the point. Even if it is clear that the current equations with different constants cannot produce life, completely different equations (and constants) might still be perfectly life-producing. We do not know enough about mathematical physics to say, and may well never. And arbitrarily dictating that only the constants may be tweaked in this exercise amounts to "begging the question" Now you want us to conclude that a set of physical constants that are conducive to life arising is highly improbable, but tell me. Just HOW do we ascribe proborbilities to sets of possible physical constants?? 🤔 Are they all suposed to be equally likely?? 🤔 Or are some more likely than others ?? To speak of probabilities here just seems to be abusing the concept of proborbility in a situation in which it is meaningless. Regardless even if we were to accept it as extremely improbable we know that Improbable things happen. There is a difference between an event that "will never occur" and one that "has a zero probability of occurring." As an example of the fallacy of looking at results and conjecturing backwards on what the probability of such occurring was, grab a set of playing cards and deal them out face up, one at a time. When the first card is dealt, the probability of it being whatever it is, is 52-1, the probability of the second card being whatever it is is then 51-1, giving a combined probability of 2652-1. Once you have got through the deck, the probability of you having dealt those cards in that order is a staggering one in 8×(10) ⁶⁷ , which is pretty much "nearly zero", yet you just managed to do it! Congratulations, you're magic - just like Jesus Much much more to follow ( food time )
@trumpbellend6717
@trumpbellend6717 Жыл бұрын
@@TheRealTrucido One more thing you fail to take into account when addressing the proborbility argument. Could I also not say, "what is the proborbility that a incredible supernatural being that has the power to do anything, could just poof into existence or has always existed ? That he created all the trillions of galaxies just for us and wasnt really too bothered about the 99.8% of other species that once lived on earth but are now extinct ( including many other homonids Neanderthals, denisovan, neladi ect ) That this magical invisible being really does require the stoning of people for gathering sticks on a specific day. And finds the male foreskin objectionable again to the point of it being punishable by death to retain it . Even though it was the same god that created said foreskin 🤔🤔🤔 I have literally just scratched the surface here, suffice to say that the proborbility model I could create for the god of biblical narrative would be far far more unlikely than that preposed for the scientific explanation. Learn something my boy

We will take a simple little verse and show you why it is not addressed to the natural man, Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

However, they struggle to justify the fundamental meaning behind their own words, let alone how others interpret them. They fail to account for the very basis of language and its significance. In essence, by engaging in discourse, atheists inadvertently delve into metaphysical concepts, contradicting their own worldview. Living a truly atheist life becomes untenable as they unwittingly operate within the realm of the transcendent. Denying the existence of God doesn't exempt one from the confines of time, space, and existence.

Mr. Cliffe kept saying "Reason only comes from reason" What does that mean? I don't understand it. From all my observations ... , one person's observation is not that much. Even generations observations wouldn't be enough. For much much more than 1,500 years, people believed the sun went around the earth. They didn't know better. Now we know better thus we've different perspectives in reality. So are other non-physical things, too. Women had almost no right. Slavery, etc.

Then I'll phrase it in such a way you may better understand. Is there anything else in this universe you can objectively prove where reason comes from other than a mind. Examples, rocks don't reason, they don't have minds. Trees don't reason they don't have minds. The sun does not reason it has no mind.

@@souzajustin19d "Is there anything else in this universe you can objectively prove where reason comes from other than a mind." I'm sorry I still don't understand what you're trying to say. A mind reasons. That's fine. We humans have minds, brains. We reason. Dogs have brains and they reason though not that bright. Cats have brains and they reason. They're more sneaker or maybe smarter than dogs or more reason independently maybe. Though do butterflies think? reason? I guess so. Though worms reason? Do worms have brains? a mind?

@@tTtt-ho3tq You most likely wont find anything. So that is meaning of the Reason only comes from Reason. We have never seen a rock create a thing that can reason, or really any other thing in this universe that is inanimate create a mind. @@JinKazama92 Given that you are obviously an expert on what a sin is, let me ask you to explain it to me. Is it a sin to work on the sabbath? It is a sin to kill a guy who collected sticks on the sabbath? Is it a sin to have sex before marriage? Is it a sin to kill people for having sex before marriage? Is it a sin to cook a goat in its mother's milk? Is it a sin to have slaves? Is it a sin to be angry when somebody rapes your daughter? I could go on all day, but i hope you already realized that it´s not so simple to tell what "a sin" is. And correct me if i am wrong, but are we not ALL sinners? So what´s the difference between a perfectly good person and a childraping massmurderer who accepted Jesus as his eternal dictator on his deathbed? I can tell you what the difference is. The perfectly good guy will go to hell if he was born in the wrong country and raised in one of the about 5000 other religions.

@@ChrisTheKing172 It’s simple. You are twisting the argument which is causing you to be confused by your own words. Here is the answer you are looking for. One that has read the word of God knows the commandments of the lord and what to keep. Those that do not know the word of God are slaves to unrighteousness and sin. You should know them by their fruits.

No it’s our choices to create reality. I said if we are in the light which is in gods hands it limits our mind to correct its course if not in the light there you go bottom of the pit crash course. Analyze it in your way it make sense if you include heaven and hell that we can’t see add it in our thought. Thought is not seen unless action plays it..😜🦋👑🦁⚖️

Exactly 💯. Thanks to them for uploading this video. Brother's Cliffe and Stuart always do good work in their efforts in the furtherance of The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ you're reaching thousands to millions of people who are seeking after The Truth of God's Existence, Word and Character in our reality 🙏❤️👊. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.
