Give Me An Answer with Stuart & Cliffe Knechtle

Күн бұрын

Program 0823 ................... - Religion - Humility - Eternal Life ..............
Recorded at Texas State University - October 2022.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

@@Th3BigBoy I was asking a similar question the other day concerning the Good Samaritan, clearly he wasn't a Christian, yet we're often told by Christians that unless we accept Jesus as our saviour, we're hellbound, .. so that would include the good Samaritan would it not?, if he's in heaven, then that tells me you *don't* need to accept Jesus as your saviour. This whole premise of a place called heaven is where good people go, and bad people go to hell is also absurd to me. If a place of eternal suffering actually exists, then shouldn't we be given the exact terms and conditions of ending up in such a place. Hell varies depending on which Christian you speak to .. from eternal suffering to nothingness ...I'm fine with nothingness after death, but I'm not keen on the concept of eternal suffering. 🙂

Exactly to live is Christ and to die is gain as Apostle Paul said. It's awesome seeing Stuart following in his father Cliffe's footsteps as the Knechtle's family Apologetics ministry is still going strong. Creation is indicative of a Creator so we can understand reality as a Creation which allows us to understand it scientifically because it's intelligently designed. I love that question that young man asked about Hell but I don't think The Rich Man wanted to be in Hell but knew he had lived a sinful life deserving of it 😢😭. Stuart was speaking FACTS. AMEN fellow brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord and God bless Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle's family Apologetics ministry. Many Atheists, secular humanists and skeptics are very intelligent and logical but shows how dishonest their position can be in changing his standards for evidence by shifting the goalpost everytime it comes to what their standard of God's Existence being supported by evidence would be. It's obviously not the burden of proof for believers but God Himself to meet the burden of proof which He has for us Christian theists despite what Atheists claim are just unsupported claims. This has nothing to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers. Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

Death is not a privilege. Death is stated to be the last enemy to be destroyed, it's an enemy. Death may look like a relief because yes you get to meet God afterwards, but death itself is not a relief. It's a horrible thing that was designed as a punishment, God made us to live, not to die. If we die and we go to hell, or to nowhere, then death in both scenarios is not a privilege but the worst outcome. It's only through God in which death is the final stop sign before paradise, not because it is good, but because God is good. Death is not good at all, what's good is that it is the last enemy to be destroyed before we meet God, we relieve ourselves because we can finally meet God and our hardships are over, not because death is good at all.

We’re not supposed to judge, per se, but we are supposed to correct each other and set each other straight. We’re also called to examine ourselves before we examine others to avoid hypocrisy.
@johnnyrocket1685
@johnnyrocket1685 3 ай бұрын
Yes exactly, “Do Not Judge or you will be Judged” is meant to convey biased judgement that isn’t based on true knowledge. You are just judging other people for the sake of judging, which ultimately points to the possibility of personal issues that you are projecting on others. You’re afraid, you have guilt, you’re sinful, so you try to point out other people’s flaws because you’re scared of your own. But that’s okay, that’s why Jesus Christ died for our sins, so that he could absorb the punishment we deserve; For God so loved the world he sent his only son, that whoever believes in Him will never perish, but have Eternal Life. . So don’t be a hypocrite, meaning don’t ignore your own personal issues that you need to address, before you judge someone. Fix your own problems and accept that we all are sinners by nature, and that we all need Jesus Christ to help us. From there, once you realize that you have the potential to sin and do evil like anyone else, and therefore are no better than anyone else and do not have a right to wrongfully judge, you can judge righteously. There’s a difference between these two statements, and I hope you can see it: 1.) “My brother, I love you because you are made in the image of God just like me, but your actions are wrong and I’m pleading you to see that. It’s wrong for you to kill other people, but that doesn’t mean you are unable of making amends. Please, I beg you to turn to Jesus Christ and work to help humanity, that you can redeem yourself.” 2.) “My brother, I cannot believe how disgusting of a person you’ve become. Nothing we’ve been through in life can redeem you in my eyes, and I hope the worst things imaginable happen to you. I judge you and deem you unforgivable, and therefore I don’t care what happens to you. You don’t deserve Jesus, you don’t deserve help.” . Can you see the difference and why most people are not real followers of Christ? I mean that because Jesus himself was whipped, flogged, beaten, spat on, mocked, forced to carry the cross they nailed him to, and as He was hanging there on the cross above those who were cheering and mocking His suffering, Jesus said “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.” He still loved them even though they were actively mocking and torturing and killing him slowly. Therefore, be like Jesus.

*This is for all who never received the love of the truth enough to know the Shepard's voice from the wolf's voice which includes pretty much every ''Christian'' out there...* *Even though you were made to believe that the bible can never be changed and that God wouldn't allow it, He actually only promised to protect His word until the last days. Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 and Revelation 22:10 He promised to send a famine for hearing His word in the last days too, and that we won't be able to find it anywhere in Amos **8:11**-12. In Daniel 7:25 God said that He would give the AC power to "change times and laws" for a short time which we now know meant history, laws of physics and scripture. The famine for hearing God's word has already been sent! Because when hearing "pastors" today, you're hearing some of Satan's words mixed in with God's words **_UNAWARE!_** This truth shines a light on people and exposes who the Wheat and the tares are. Wheat ALWAYS react the same way, they immediately investigate to PROVE if this is true or not, find out it is and start warning their brothers and sisters because they LOVE truth and OBEY God's commandment to "prove all things". Tares ALWAYS react the same way too, they quote scriptures and argue instead of looking into the videos offered as proof.* *The tares are being divided from the wheat and the famine for hearing the words of God has been sent! Our bibles will never be taken from us like we used to believe, they have all just been changed by Satan into his "rat poison." Rat poison is 99.95% corn, and even though the rats love it, it is 100% fatal for every rat that eats it. If you are still reading ANY bible now without knowing a LOT about what the thousands of supernatural changes in it are, Satan is laughing at you! Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled like **8:11** already has, because they are going to cut our lights! The ONLY place you can still find God's words without risking reading some of Satan's mixed in unaware is in the videos DOCUMENTING the changes or in written lists of the documented changes like the one at the web site (amos)(8)(.)(org). I urge EVERYONE to open up your bible and watch as many as you can NOW! There will be time to read Satan's rat poison later if you want. I will never read mine again, and haven't for 7 years. It gives me the creeps just looking at it like if I was looking at a Ouija board on my bookshelf or something, so it will stay in a box in my closet. I learned so much about this it disgusts me! There are thousands of changes, they're on every page, many are ridiculously obvious and blasphemous, and they are ongoing!!* 👉 *The first few short films are just about Isaiah 11:6, and could easily prove it was changed in any court of law in the world. Open any bible to that verse and watch those films, (this is one of the two universal changes, the other is Luke 19:27) I don't make films btw, they were made by 6 other true followers of Jesus (TRUTH) who researched to find "residue" showing that it used to say "LION" instead of "wolf".* *Watch all of the rest of the films for a good understanding of how this is perfectly fulfilling many end time prophecies that we had all previously misinterpreted simply because we had no idea they would be fulfilled supernaturally. It's funny how many people who claim to believe the bible just scoff if you talk about the supernatural. LOL But when people see absolute proof of this with their own eyes, their faith is strengthened greatly! You can read some of their testimonies on my COMMUNITY page.* *Here are a couple examples of the replies I receive from the "wheat"...* Hello Residue Junkie, my name is Tamara Dobson. God lead me to you through a call for an uprising. I just wanted you to know how blessed I have been through finding you. For awhile I thought I was losing my mind, because of the things that I was seeing and experiencing, that so many around me were apparently not seeing. And I couldn't understand how or why that would be, unless maybe, I was in fact losing my mind. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with white matter disease, which I thought was a completely ridiculous notion, however alzheimers and dementia, as well as a vast laundry list of other mental degenerative disorders are associated with it. So I thought it was at least possible, however, that never set right with my spirit. Any way, I was thinking about you and hoping all is well with you and yours. I remember you mentioned that your health is not the best and I hope you are feeling better. But I mostly hope you're in good spirits and your faith is still strong . Much love and many prayers for you and yours, & God willing, I hope to meet you someday, so I can hug you and thank you in person for restoring & strengthening my faith . john oz Yes residue junkie I was a backsliden Pastor, away from God for over 25 years. When I found out that Isaiah 11:6 had supernaturaly changed from a lion to a wolf. It spun me out, and as a result it brought me back to Christ. I have been back in the arms of Jesus for 12 months now. I see changes in the bible constantly now. For example, you can not find the words, "hallelujah, demons or wineskins" in the Old KJV bible anymore. Too many changes to go into. In Gen 1:1, the word heavens has changed to heaven. It no longer has the letter s in the word.... *To see proof of many of the changes plus all of the end time prophecies this is perfectly fulfilling, and to receive the greatest strengthening of faith you ever had, type in PROOF OF BIBLE CHANGE RESIDUE JUNKIE. God bless you all!!!* *Everyone will learn about this eventually, I'm simply trying to keep as many as I can from learning about it at the Gate.* ❤✝️💪

John 7:24 shows that believers are to judge righteously not falsely especially against other brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord. Death is worse than suffering because Death causes the most suffering when it takes the lives of those who are living in suffering from those who are left to live with that suffering so Death causes more suffering. If you don’t love Cliffe and Stewart for their tireless work on campus, teaching the amazing teachings of Jesus Christ then something just isn’t right with you, because those who do good are worthy of love. It’s all about love isn’t it. And those that agree with this are always looking for ways to get more of it. Jesus, God with us, was the personification of love. Women seem to have more love than men. Often they are more compassionate than males. But because I was cooped up at a little boarding school for 2 years I eventually got to love everyone by cutting them a break. I still have fond memories of those boys. Boy it took time though. It didn’t happen overnight. But it happened because we had something in common. The boarding school life. But the love of my fellow man is not as significant as the love God has given to women. In this they are truly blessed. Now I’m cooped up with a new lot. They are followers of Christ. And because we have something in common we cut each other a break.

Have you ever seen the late 60's movie "If" directed by Lindsay Anderson paul .. it's a brilliant insight into boarding school life, very brutal at times. There's probably a few good clips here on KZfaq. The caning of the lead character in the gymnasium is particularly harrowing.

Perhaps. I haven't studied Islam carefully enough to find what you're talking about specifically addressed. * I think where Cliff was going with that is that many people find one bit of a religion's teachings--whether it's Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, or whatever, and they use that as the "gotcha" to say why they think it's not true or hypocritical. It's not fair, for example, to blame a religion for an individual, or a group or even one nation's misinterpretation or misappropriation of the clear teaching of the text or prophet or whatever all by itself. We have to go to the source and compare that to what the followers (or false followers) did. * So with that in mind, what passage(s) teaching of the original source of Islam/Muhammad would you say are the most convincing that his intention for his followers was to kill people randomly and/or as an act of defiance?

@@ScriptureConsolidated the new moon which is used to calculate months and years has no bearing on a week. This is why the new moon is used to calculate high (yearly) sabbaths, whereas it has no effect on the 7th day sabbath. This 7 day week cycle has been taking place since God first established it in Genesis, and it has not changed. A calendar (used to indicate months and years) does not change this 7 day cycle. & yes Sabbath begins the night before, a night that we just so happen to call Friday in English. & yes it ends the night after, a night that we just so happen to call Saturday. In Spanish speaking countries it’s called Sábado, in Arabia it’s yawm alsabt, etc. As you can see, it’s even imbedded in other nations’ language which day of the week the Sabbath day is, this has nothing to do with Rome or the Gregorian calendar. You said Ezekiel lays out a line of calendar days. So are you not saying that at the beginning of each month (new moon), there are 8 days in a week? 6 working days, Sabbath day, and day of the new moon right? If not, I’m not sure why else you brought up the Ezekiel scripture, so please clear that up for me.
@breakphorth
@breakphorth Жыл бұрын
@@ScriptureConsolidated ok no, the new moon is not the sabbath, that’s not what Ezekiel 46:1 says. It’s merely outlining what days the gates should be opened and closed. The new moon indicates the first day of a Hebrew month. So essentially Ezekiel 46:1 can be read as: “Thus saith the Lord God; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the [first day of the month] it shall be opened.” The first day of a month has nothing to do with the 7 day week cycle, it’s two different calculations. The first day of a month can fall on the first day of the week, second day, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh, depending on the month. All Ezekiel 46:1 is saying is that six days out of the week the gates should be closed. On the seventh day of the week it should be opened, and also on the first of every month, it should be opened. The new moon (first of the month) was acknowledged by Hebrews, but it was never considered a Sabbath day.

As a child my parents made the fatal mistake of spoiling me as a favourite because of almost dying as an infant. But mistake or not I loved it. I often called the shots. But it caused problems with my siblings who were justifiably resentful, all of which I was blissfully unaware of. I was a student who couldn’t focus resulting in always being the dunce of the class. But regrettably to get some respect I excelled at getting into trouble. My father, an artful man, persuaded me to go to boarding school. It was here that I was confronted by Brother Alban. He was the discipline master. A tough Australian. This was in the days of corporal punishment. I became his pet project. I got lots of painful whacks. I went to that school like a little stand up prince and came out of it like a wet rag. But I can honestly say that if Brother Alban was alive today he would be my best friend, because I think he would now be my greatest supporter. But that two and a bit years with Brother Alban wasn’t fun. I took the punishment he dished out and he straightened me out. In my 20’s I could have received the Lord. It was available to me. But no no no. I couldn’t do that so I got more punishment. Then in my 30’s I got another chance. But no not me. So more punishment. At 40 I couldn’t take it any more so I surrendered. But I know that without the punishment I wouldn’t have the two best friends I’ve got. Brother Alban and The Lord.

@@paulwilfridhunt Happy to be corrected Paul. My dad used to beat the living crap out of me when I misbehaved, I do wonder sometimes if corporal punishment is better than todays methods of discipline overall. Maybe the jury is still out. Here's a question for you paul, I have a lot of conversations with people on here about morality and whether certain actions can be considered "objectively" immoral or "subjectively" immoral. With regards to corporal punishment, it seems to me you're saying it's perfectly moral to physically beat a child. .. there is a well known biblical passage "spare the rod, spoil the child", which, if i understand it correctly can be interpreted as "if you don't hit the child to punish him, you're spoiling him"
@paulwilfridhunt
@paulwilfridhunt Жыл бұрын
@@bonnie43uk Yes we have tried sparing the rod and it doesn’t seem to be working today. Society is in a terrible mess. It’s a dangerous place. The Romans allowed their Greek teachers to chastise their children. But no parent likes smacking their child. I loved my boyhood dog. But I knew if I didn’t smack him he’d get shot for chasing sheep. I did it to save him. But some children don’t need it. I did. It’s only for those who get badly out of line. Invariably a father will begin to lose love for a misbehaving son unless he gives him some paddy whacks. And this gets the child back on track and the father loses any build up of hate. Sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind. People who commit terrible crimes, taking the life of another, have to lose their life. This helps people to be able to more easily rule and control themselves. Because if they imagine killing another they simultaneously see themselves hanging by the neck and it invariably cancels out the desire to take the life of another. It’s heavy subject and not pleasant to talk about. And it’s also one in which presumably there will be no change to the status quo in the foreseeable future, hence some people will wax worse and worse. It’s natural to want to be friends with our children. We want them to love us. But as the captain of a sailing ship would lose his authority if he becomes too friendly with the crew so too do we if we sacrifice our children for the sake of wanting to be their best friends. They want us to be strong. And if we take a stand for instance against things like pornography that ruins society, they might think we are old fashioned, but after we, like Brother Alban, are gone, 6 foot under pumping up daisies we shall still be giving them strength. There are exceptions to the rule of course. And some fathers or mothers are the best friend of a child growing up. My mother was my best friend. Jack Nicklaus’s father was his best friend as a boy. If everyone kept the 10 commandments we wouldn’t be talking about this. How are you Tom? I’ve dished you out some punishment over the years haven’t I. I’ve been your Brother Alban. I’ve done my best. But has it done you any good.
@paulwilfridhunt
@paulwilfridhunt Жыл бұрын
@@bonnie43uk As I have previously said Tom, I’ve become a somewhat prolific Utube writer which I attribute to you and maybe to John Cassin too, but perhaps with John it’s to a lesser extent. I was extremely reluctant to write as I suffered from the syndrome of “ what will others think”. This fear of criticism is normal. But it encouraged me seeing you writing so prolifically. You did me a great service Tom. However I fully realise I am no Shakespeare or Dickens. Nor do I want to be. I’m just one who communicates with the keyboard. Interestingly enough, Dickens initially suffered from the fear of criticism so much so that he would creep out at night to post his manuscripts. He didn’t want others to say there goes that hopeful Dickens who wants to be an author. But writing can develop our intellect. We prize deeper understandings out of ourselves that otherwise would be too deep to find without the pen. Like many others, I too have an array of interests besides my good penchant for God. But for people like me and there are many, we do a good work, because like Noah, we build arks made out of Godly principles and those who love God get aboard. And they say this guy is right. I’m with him. I’m aboard. And on this ship they obtain strength as they take a stand against unrighteousness. But Tom, as I have arrived at the conclusion quite some time ago that you are trapped in a trap of your own thinking which has got you in opposition to God, and seemingly you can’t get out of it, I therefore have quit giving you the same old same old lectures on amendment and repentance. I see the futility of it. However it hasn’t all been in vain because my explanations have helped new believers. Initially they are perplexed by your inability to believe as they do. And find it incredulous that the obviousness of God’s existence is not obvious to you. But my explanations of why you are the way you are helps put the puzzle together for them. And in this regard I have done some good. I have come to terms with the fact that you are to be an atheist for the rest of your life. I don’t see any change happening for you, but God is running the show and what will be will be. It’s His call. He knows best. But I can do no more. Writing is tiring or at least it can be. It takes it out of us. Hence I’m grateful that it’s only part of my life. We all wish you well Tom. All the best from all of us.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

By this, what is meant is certainly not “Scripture is given by God, so make money off of it and rewrite it however you want.” What is meant in 2 Timothy 3:16 is that is that Paul the Apostle is saying that for those who follow Jesus Christ, all scriptures that the followers agreed upon can be used for rebuking and excising demons, correcting people’s behaviors within the church and family, etc, and for teaching others about the way of Jesus Christ.

What are you talking about? They explain themselves very clearly when they say “We do not know everything. Anyone who says they do know everything is a naive, a fool, and someone you shouldn’t trust.” Getting a Master’s Degree in Biology certainly by no means you know everything there will ever be to know about Biology. Far from it. No one knows the true extent of Biology, there are many questions we simply can’t answer with our current understanding. Cliffe and his son are giving their answers to the absolute best of their knowledge, and willingly admit they don’t know when they don’t know. They’re not Evangelical “Fire and Brimstone” prophets going out into the streets and telling everything they deserve Hell. They say many times over and over again in their videos throughout the years, “We don’t know everything, and we hope you never believe just because we tell you. All we’re asking is that you take the time to just simply read the 4 Gospels…. Then ask yourself, “If this is a historical narrative of a man named Jesus, was he actually reliable in the things he said and how he lived his life?”

And Jesus said, “Many will come to me on that day and say ‘Lord, Lord! Did we not prophecy in your name and in your name perform miracles and in your name cast out demons?’ And I will say plainly to them, ‘I have never known you. Away from me, you Evildoer!’” Being religious is not the answer. Following Christ is the answer. Religion has been used to justify thousands of years of child abuse, the crusades, the witch trials, and hundreds of years of institutionalized slavery in the western world. Religion is clearly evil, that’s why religion does not actually represent what Jesus said. Jesus represents Jesus, and what Jesus said represents what Jesus said. That’s why you should never put your faith in Religion. Instead, put your faith in Jesus Christ.

For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or DEATH or the present or the future-all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. - 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 But it was an enemy , not anymore. Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. - Hebrews 2:14-15

@justingary5322
@justingary5322 Жыл бұрын
Exactly.

FACTS 😂. I felt so bad for her but awesome video. We're all hypocritically judgemental and inclusive/exclusive whether religious or otherwise 💯. It's cool seeing that even though Cliffe is getting older his son Stuart is choosing to follow in Cliffe's footsteps in representing Christ our Lord in the Knechtle's Apologetics ministry preaching DA GOSPEL TRUTH. Atheism ain't got nothing new or better to offer than the very religious beliefs it's critical of so it's hypocrisy at it's finest 😂. Hello this is for all you Atheists, unbelievers and skeptics. I'm going to address a few misconceptions and lies about God's Character and His Word. The Bible doesn't support chattel slavery or anything else Immoral. Ok so Atheists and unbelievers say God is either Immoral, incompetent or not responsible so let's see what The Scriptures actually say. God revealed himself and created a nation in a real, historical context. It was a world with a slave-based economy, with city states often at war with each other, with polygamous marriages to ensure the continuation of family lines. The laws of the Old Testament regulate this behaviour. Slaves are to be treated humanely (Exodus 21:11). They are given rights and not seen as mere possessions. Hebrew slaves were able to buy their own freedom. Human trafficking is condemned (Exodus 21:16). In contrast to the law code of Babylon, Old Testament Israel was a light to the nations. The Old Testament law and narratives do not stand alone. Jesus is now the best example of what we read. So the moral teaching of the Bible cannot be summarised by a quote taken out of context from the Old Testament to demonize God and His Word. Slavery was permitted in Old Testament law but it was regulated by God giving the Israelites instructions on how to fairly and humanely treat their slaves (it was like indentured servitude where someone could work for you if they owed debts or needed income not cruel like chattel slavery). God allowed the people of Israel to own slaves since they themselves has already experienced over 400 years of generations of Egyptian slavery and knew how inhumane it was to be beaten, overworked and taxed so God set them apart from other nations and cultures around them by giving them a fair way to treat their slaves since slavery had already existed in the world but it doesn't mean God condoned it just used it for His Will to bring Good And in the light of the whole scriptural teaching, we find the reasons for its ultimate abolition (Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 4:1-3; Philemon 15-16 and Galatians 3:28). The Word of God provided the moral standard against slavery in the Roman Empire and against the slave trade in the New World. But what of genocide or holy war in the book of Joshua? Several things could be pointed out. The use of warfare in the ancient world did not always mean literal total destruction, even when events are described in such terms. Furthermore, the book of Joshua does not describe a genocide. It is not a race who are being wiped out, as in genocide, but a religious practice which was often appalling and degrading. Those who repent (like Rahab from Jericho or Ruth) are not destroyed but become part of Israel. It is not the racial group that is in view but their "detestable practices". However, after all is said, we must still acknowledge that God brought judgment on the nations of Canaan. It is not our place as believers isn't to sugar-coat the Bible. For some skeptics, this is enough to make God a moral monster. But the fact is that Jesus continued to affirm that God is a Judge who will bring a future judgment on all peoples and all nations. God’s judgment will be just. The list of Old Testament stories rejected by critics often leads to a similar dismissal of the New Testament teaching of Jesus on the existence of hell. After all, what was the Flood of Genesis or the conquest of Joshua if not a glimpse of future judgment? Hell does not demonstrate cruelty on God’s part, but it does demonstrate His Holiness and our moral accountability. Perhaps this is the real reason many people rail against the God of the Bible? It is not that they think He is a moral monster, but that they are afraid He is a moral Judge, and that has implications for our behaviour now. God is an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being and we as His creatures have Eternal souls and spirits so the punishment for our sins against Him must therefore also be Eternal but so must the reward for righteousness that's why He sent His Son Jesus to live a perfectly righteous and sinless Life (which none of us could ever possibly expect to do) suffer the humiliating and torturous death of crucifixion to shed His Own Blood willingly so that all who willingly accept His gift of salvation by grace through faith in Him will be saved and given Eternal life because that's what God wants is for us to willingly accept His gift of salvation and choose life. Exodus 21:20-21 literally speaks about capital punishment befalling anyone who mistreats their slaves so yes people are taking Scripture out of context to demonize God who literally promises that slaves who are mistreated under someone else's authority is to be avenged. When we hear the word “slavery” we think of innocent human beings, kept prisoner for life, having no rights under law and so reduced to animals. This is clearly immoral because it is unjust: the slave has done nothing to deserve the treatment. The situation described as “slavery” in the Bible was nothing like this. It is more accurately described as one of indentured servitude. Many “slaves” were indentured servants, working for a term of years Some other “slaves” were prisoners. There were no prisons. Prisoners had to work to live like everyone else. Some had life sentences. Some served a term and were released. People didn't beat their good slaves but treated them well and protected their assets thus. But no matter how rebellious a slave was, you couldn't just beat them to death. And if you knocked out their tooth or damaged their eye then you had to set them free. (Exodus 21:26). God wasn't using what other nations did because He wanted to set His Chosen People of Israel apart from the cruel, inhumane and unjust systems other cultures had so He gave them a fair way to treat their slaves and servants. There is a lot of ignorance on this topic which is understandable given the age we live in but it's not the nefarious set up we think of when we think of modern slavery. The question Atheists must ask themselves is how come the Jews aren't being accused of slavery and human trafficking if they're guilty of it in The Bible and why would white slave owners rip out pages from The Old and New Testament Scriptures to justify their owning blacks as slaves if The Bible already justified slavery?

Calvinist are most judge mental group out there. They always tried to measure your faith to see how it measures against their standards of faith and work of our flesh. We are not saved by the work of our flesh, if this was true, God did not have to come in flesh and suffer a horrible death for our sins. God could have just judge us by our how good or bad we are to be saved. Problem here is God can not allow not even .00000000001 percent of sin in heaven. Therefore to solve this, his plan was to come in flesh to bury our past, present and future sins so his children who chooses to believe in will be with him. God never forces us to love him or believe in Him. He gave us free will to choose if you want him to or not. God does not need us, we need God. But God does indeed love us so he is always letting us know, he is here for us (church, internet, social media, other Christians, etc) and we need to seek him. Can we as human ever force anyone to love us and that person end up truly loving you?

Jesus never said to not be judgmental. Matthew 7:1-4 says "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye?" He is teaching people how to judge. Before you judge others, be sure to not be at fault for the same judgement you bestow upon others. In essence, if you are going to judge other people, make sure you are not one who falls victim to the same faults that you are judging others for.

@robert mitchell I don't have any and I don't I believe such a thing. Are you trying to ask what evidence I've heard from them? I was just asking if anyone else has heard of this teaching. From the snippets they've given me (they tend to run when pushed) they seem to believe there is a God the mother, using things like God creating male and female in 'our' image meaning there must be a female image. They also think the verse that says something about the New Jerusalem 'coming down and she is our mother' is actually referring to this God the Mother. The 'bride' mentioned in the Bible they also take to mean a female version of God. They believe she is only just revealing herself now and of course, their church is the only one with this new revelation.

@@TacticsOgre35 I've never heard of that group before.

I promise you that If you were God, he who created everything, from the smallest of atoms to the largest of Multiversal, Infinite cosmic structures; you would have a right to create anything you want and judge your own creations based on what you define as Justice. Because if there is no God, and we are a mistake and an accident as Atheism suggests; That means life is completely absurd and absolutely nothing matters. No matter how good of a person you are, once you die, it doesn’t matter. Everything goes dark and it was meaningless, because if humanity fully dies out some die then that’s it. Nothing we ever did meant a thing. Because there’s no God to define meaning and value for His creation. . I love cliffe and Stuart’s mindsets personally, because they’re followers of Christ, not Christians, who openly agree that Evolution and the Big Bang makes sense, but as a process and not the origin of mankind and everything else. It makes far more sense that a Creator initiating the Big Bang and used the process of Evolution to design Humanity “In His Own Image.” Meaning not physically like God, but mentally like God, creators who work in the material world. If the Multiverse exists, it further suggests God because it doesn’t make sense for there to be no creator, yet there be infinite realities all co-existing in patterns and sometimes even drastic differences. What’s the point? There’s no Creator so then there’s just no reason? How is that logical? Why does infinity exist if there’s no reason at all for it to exist? Something or someone had to have started it all at some point. But who could start something where there is nothing? It had to be some kind of supreme Entity, something that exists outside space and time and therefore has no beginning or end, just like Jesus Christ said. “I Am the Alpha and the Omega, Am the First and Last, the Beginning and the End.” God is everything and yet nothing, He has no beginning, yet all beginnings come from Him.

I would certainly disagree with Stuarts description of atheism as a 'culture of death' as in, there is no ultimate purpose in life, we pass our genes onto the next generation and hopefully they will live full and happy lives based on what we've taught them, they can also discover better ways to improve their own lives, and pass those traits on to their children. Atheism is basically a disbelief in God. If belief in a particular God helps you in life, all well and good, but it's not a requirement. 🙂

I'd disagree. In Atheism there is no ultimate purpose to life. If atheism is true, you simply are a cosmic accident and a bag of meat and water reacting to the biochemical reactions in your brain. Morality is subjective and living a "happy and fulfilling" life is also subjective. One person may find fulfillment selling drugs, living a life of crime, becoming a mass murderer, and another may find fulfillment in helping others and giving to the needy. Neither are wrong and both will return to the ground when they die. There is no purpose, whether you choose to kill and murder or help and nurture it doesn't matter.

@@huytruong7370 Atheism is simply a disbelief in God, it doesn't come with any other preconditions that I'm aware of. An atheist could be a mass murderer or a brain surgeon. As regards how life began, I have no idea. Science hasn't figured that out yet. I don't know of any rational person who would consider a mass murderer to be living a happy and fulfilling life. You are wrong to say it doesn't matter if you're an atheist whether or not you kill and murder people or help and nurture, it matters massively to me as a non believer that I treat people with care and kindness. Does it matter to you if someone believes in a different God to you?, do they have purpose and meaning in life? As a non believer, i certainly believe I have meaning and purpose in life. I got you. The God of the bible beheld all he had created and saw that it was very good. God is the ultimate naturalist. Where as almost everything we do is contrary to original nature. There are plenty of examples of God preferring the natural way of things. Death isn't even natural. Life never comes from death. Now decay might nourish the ground at times but this is because "And God cursed the earth for man's sake" otherwise death would just pile up and never go away.

By using the hard and fast rule to say homosexuality is wrong because the bible teaches it's a sin is probably not going to register with your conscience I assume. Obviously, there are heterosexual sins in the bible (adultery, fornication, lust) as well. So, in no way am I trying to target homosexuality. But why does God prohibit same sex lifestyle? The best explanation I can give is God designed a woman to be complementary for man in Genesis 2:18-25. 1. For reproduction 1. Contrast of traits (male vs female) that help each other. 2. The raising of children (a boy and girl need a maternal protector and a paternal protector but in different ways that 2 genders cannot provide. God loves all of his creation. But whether gay or straight there are consequences for our behavior. Why? God is love, God is holy, and God is just. Finally, God puts boundaries in place for our benefit. Not because He is some kind of malevolent dictator. God bless!

You shouldn’t kill babies because it makes you happy; that is evil.” And saying, “You stupid idiot, you’re a monster; you deserve death, you’re not human anymore!” Can you see how drastically different those 2 statements are? That is what Jesus is discussing in John 7. In the NIV, the line is “Stop judging by mere appearance, but instead judge correctly.” He’s saying don’t judge based on racism, or sexism, or personal vendettas. Judge because their actions are clearly wrong, but do so in a living way. Show them you actually love and respect them as the human being they are, and that there really is a better way.
