On days when the depression demons are too much, I cuddle my dog and watch Bondi Vet. Because how can you feel down and sad when good people help animals and you have a cute doggo sleeping on your lap?

Poor Deacon. I have recurrent corneal erosion so while it's not the same as having eyelashes constantly in my eyes, it does mean that every time I go to sleep, the inside of my eyelid basically sticks to my cornea and rips away the surface layer when I open my eyes,, exposing nerve endings and damaging the surface of your eye. The pain, swelling, redness, blurry vision, watering eyes and nose, light sensitivity and general discomfort is so bad, some days I can't even open my eye, and the only treatments (so far) that I've been given are eye drops and eye ointments that are basically vaseline to cover your eyeball before you sleep. I feel so bad for that kitty, having any kind of abrasion to your eye is so painful, no wonder the poor thing can't open his eyes.

I saw a young woman on Dr. Pimple Popper several days ago that had some condition ( I don't remember what she called it) where she has eyelashes growing through one of her top eyelids. My biggest fear is going blind. I was an aid for a blind/deaf student. Of course he was born that way but when, what a challenge he was. I was with him from age 6-16. Sounds like you have quite a challenging problem too. Good luck
@JustAnotherBuckyLover

@@ninaappelt9001 I feel like I could cope with one or the other, but being both deaf and blind together can make communication so difficult - especially, I would imagine if it happens before you are able to speak, read and write etc. And for me, *my* biggest fear is being trapped inside myself, fully aware, but unable to communicate with anyone. Nobody thinks they could cope with a disability when they're abled, and that, sadly, is why there's so much unnecessary pity, saviourism and ableism... being disabled isn't automatically a bad thing. Over my life, I've gone from a person who swam, ran, mountain biked, did gymnastics, martial arts, etc to someone who is (now) bedbound and unable to even sit up. And sure, I wish I WASN'T confined to bed because I want to get out and enjoy things that I can't right now - but my life isn't miserable. I have friends, I have hobbies, and it's amazing how many things you can do lying down with a little lateral thinking!

Can I just express my eternal and huge gratitude to this show for showing how difficult, complex and amazing the job of a vet is!!!! Dr. Scott, My boxer George swallowed a softball. Not a soft ball, but a baseball only large size. White leather and red stitching, his vet was still open. I called him, he said "If he doesn't pass it by morning bring him in. Try to get the kind of ball it is" I'm a endoscopy nurse, I was just glad he was breathing. Of course we were there before he opened. He asked if I brought the ball, I said yes, it's in his stomach. He took George for x-ray, came right back in with x-ray. You could even see the raised threads. He said he would use x-ray to show the university to listen to moms.

I think it is a good sign when a veterinarian talks to their patients. Just because animals are not humans does not mean they do not have feelings. Some people, even vets, take the fact that "it is not a person" a little too literally.

BondiVets helped us save the life of one of our foster puppies, he was blue in the mouth and gaspping for air every 15-20 seconds. I called The Humane Society emergency vet and they told me they could humanely euthanize puppy #6 so he would not suffer. But we were not ready to give on him and he had fight left. I was doing chest compressions patting him facing downward to get all the fluid out of his airways and my dad would give mouth to mouth. 30 minutes of non stop CPR and puppy #6 takes in a deep breath then lets out the loudest crys that is pure music to our ears. We names #6 puppy Captain Jack after a beloved Doctor Who character that comes back from the death. Captain Jack is still the loudest puppy out of all 11 puppies. If it were not for such amazing details in the episode I happened to watch, Captain Jack would not be here with us today. I'm not trying to be a vet I only like to know what to do in certain situations considering I do Foster a lot and it paid off big time.

I wish you would not block out the actual surgery site or injuries. In my opinion it takes away from what you are doing and does not convey as to what is going on. I understand it can be bloody and messy but it it takes away from what this patient is going thru and I think this is crucial.

I DO SO LOVE THIS SHOW!! But!!! Ya know, I was raised on a farm where we had our favorite females having babies continually every 6 wks, it seemed. But, I never had a trip to the vets or so many little "nasty dues" as these cats have. HONEST!! I am curious how they have the time to get to all of the customers that they have and each of them has an Emergency for X[Treme issues or they'll die, suffer, nervous tremors as each of their patient's pets!! I have to question how much they have to put out on each VET visit! We had couples of everything you can imagine & they birthed all the time (all except our male monkey" that rode on the heads of the sheep b'cuz of the cushy rides. The monkey steered them around the yard at milking time morning & nite and waited for him to steer them down to the milking stations. 23 milkers! All the animals we had we wouldn't have been able to afford them all!! I have to wonder if it's something in the air - and I'm not meaning to be sarcastic, at all!! I'm actually serious if the city living is harder on the animals - than out in the country. They cleared their eyes, they fixed themselves up so they were ready for the dining after the cows are done. We'd have anywhere from 25 -- 40 animals waiting on the excess milk for treats. I think it's quite likely that something could be in the atmosphere. Is that an issue? Oh! Great job on the little puppy; and now I'm concerned if Scott is going to get that ball out of the dog who ate it. I think the young man said it best -- "We just wanted to go out for a harmless walk together"; who knew? Who'd a thunk it? What do you do if the Vets are not in office? Are they running 24-7?
