I accidentally did this it’s a lot of upkeep. I spend most of the time trying to find ways to hide my bangs, so I don’t look stupid lol

I can agree that the styling and maintenance is a bit much. I also had an interesting time with this grow out! But it was a fun haircut and I'm glad I tried it at least once.

Thank you! I will say, that it is a commitment. I am still in the process of growing mine out again. It may be a good idea to consider that before cutting it! A wolf shag is also a great option to achieve a similar cut but with an easier grow out.

You can do this hairstyle at many lengths! It's actually most popular/ most commonly done on medium to short hair :)

I fucking GAGGED. Are you a hair dresser? I want to try and give myself a mullet. Ive been cutting my own hair for the past 3 years. But ive just been going off of brad mondos "wolf cut" tutorial and someone elses shag tutorial (i cant remember the name of the channel) but its all ponytail cut. With some shaping up at the end. Too scarrd to jusy...go for it. Especially witjout a tutorial to guide me 😭

I'm not an official hairdresser, but I love to cut my hair and my friend's and family member's hair! I used a few tutorials as reference as well, and it's super fun! Maybe having someone help in the back is a good idea. Shaping and layering the long back hairs is a bit challenging, so I had someone help me a little with that part!

I really want a mullet myself, but I'm scared it won't look good on me. Guess seeing how amazing you look with it is a sign to just go for it 🫠

You can always go for a wolf cut first and see how you like it! A wolf cut is a better grow out and you can still get a similar feel as a mullet. I would recommend that as an intermediate step before diving straight into a mullet if you are on the fence/ unsure about it :)
