I always gaslight myself into thinking that ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ when it comes to products that just won’t work right for me. If you don’t mind I will use this video as my reality check lol. I very much look forward to your update because perhaps there is truely a way for them to work and some people (not all) have quite good suggestions - we learn something new every day, just recently I found out that my Rom&nd lip tints are supposed to be applied in 2 coats (1st coat needs few seconds to set before applying the 2nd and lips can’t touch in the process) for the most juciest result that will last more than 10 min… I’ve had them for a year smh… Fingers crossed and Thanks for the video ❤

About the romand tints, did anyone ever have some almost black (just very dark) ball of pigments on the lips as the time passes? I'm trying to understand whether these tints just don't work for me or did I just get bad ones lmao.
@alex_gallo_

@@itsbritneybitch9871 this never happend to me while I was wearing it, it usually just disappears over time. But it might be your lips pilling or formula is for some reason coagulating right on your lips. That being said it only happend to me few times when I was removing my makeup with cotton pad and there was dead tinted skin left on it - but it happend only during the worst part of winter which is fair because tint itself is usually drying.
@oceanbird.
@oceanbird. 4 ай бұрын
@@itsbritneybitch9871 it sounds like you might have dry skin on your lips. Dry skin absorbs more pigment especially with something like a lip stain. If you think this could be it then exfoliating your lips before applying a lip stain can really help!

I feel you...I'm light-skinned and I just returned my Patrick Ta (she's blushing) blush to Sephora today, and tried "just enough" blush instead. They both look awful! Too pigmented and too patchy for me. Wanted to love them so much but just didn't work out on my skin tone. I'll stick with Merit, Saie and Westman Atelier for creams and Hourglass for Powder. Thanks for sharing this video. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Cheers!

I tend to be heavy handed with my blush application and I LOVE Patric Ta’s blush duos lol I’m fair like you, I’m not trying to look like a clown lol I’ve adapted to this by going in with my foundation brush/sponge after I apply the powder blush to tone things down. Then I finish it with a light layer of the cream. The cream really is the star for me. It really melts everything together. I like that you dabbed the powder blush off on your hand first ❤

My fave method for really pigmented products is get a bigger fluffier brush, grab a fair amount of product, then turn the brush handle down and tap the bottom against my hand. This makes the product settle into the brush hair instead of just staying on top. You don't get all of the pigment on your skin at the same time and it blends out better

Hi! I have a similar complexion to you, and I love the Patrick Ta blush in Just Enough! I too found the pigment a little overwhelming on my fair skin when I first tried it, but I got it to work by using way less product than you think you need (maybe like half the amount of product) on a less dense brush. When you put the powder on first, remember that you want the lightest layer because you will be putting on more pigment in the cream. You can always add more pigment if you feel like you need it, but it’s hard to take away what you have already put down. Also, the powder can be a little patchy on its own, but putting the lightest layer of cream on top using a denser synthetic brush helps even it out while bringing back the skin-like glow. I hope these tips help, but not every product works for everyone!
@catrice1296

I find setting base at least lightly the stops the powders from sticking like that. Cuz when the base is too glowy its like a fly trap for the powders. Using a soft diffused brush and tapping it off (like distributing it more evenly onto the brush) on the back of my hand. And then tapping on the cream with fingers defs helps with giving a lighter layer. Although tbf you are defs on the fair side. Oop as im writing you tried everything i just said but maybe try a one tap into the pan but thats basically all i got. They might just not work for you at all. Do u think you could return them hopefully if they still dont work?

I was thinking of getting Just Enough because I bought the Dior Rosy Glow and it has hardly any pigmentation and I have to build it up to get any colour and I have fair skin. If this is TOO pigmented and hard to work with for fair skin I don't think I will try it after all. I would always use the cream first just because I usually like the way that creams blend on the cheek. The only other baby pink blush I have tried that is good is the Made By Mitchell Blursh in the shade Strawberry Cream. I did just get the Pat McGrath blush duo in Venusian Sunrise and that is lovely but not as light as I want

I have 3 of Patrick Ta’s original blushes, the ones that were powder only. I love them. I love blush and they are the ones I always reach for. I am even paler than you, and they blend so well on my skin. I bought one of the powder/cream combos when they were released. I really don’t like it. Even the powder doesn’t seem like the same easy to blend formula as the original ones. I like cream blushes, but his cream blushes are definitely not among my favorites. I’ve tried cream over powder like he says, but I just prefer my other blushes to that one and don’t see myself purchasing more of his blushes. I’ll just keep using the original blushes until they run out (don’t see that happening) or they get so old they stop performing.

As a very pale skin girlie I always tap my brush on my hand. It helps disperse the pigment evenly throughout the bristles and helps decrease the amount of pigment going onto the cheeks. Also for very pigments blushes I find a duo fiber brush works best.

It might be your face base makeup that makes the blush colour adhere more to your cheeks compared to your hand or a bare face. I am medium tan and I also find his blushes very high pigment. Have to tap off the excess and use a big fluffy brush. .. those two things combined and I'm good. I understand your frustration but that's my tip. It's not effortless but his blushes last a long time on your face.

I don't have these blushes, but I find almost all blushes are too pigmented for me. What you did at the end (coating a natural hair brush, tapping it on my hand) is most often what I do. If you're bound and determined to use these blushes, you might find success with the Blush and Polisher brush from MyKitCo. It's a very wispy, natural hair brush that won't pick up a ton of product but will still lay it down evenly. One of my favorites. A Rephr 19 might also work, if you have one. With both, you'd use a light sweeping back motion. If it were me, i probably would feel like that's too much work for a blush. But i also 100% get the feeling of "i want to love these as much as everyone else." Good luck with it!! 💚

As a fellow fair skin sister... I get it! I came across a video from Alexandra Anele to sheer out blushes on fair skin and make them blend easily. She mixes cream blush with a drop of foundation and powder blush with either powder foundation (or a translucent powder) on her hand... then dips her brush and applies the mixture. The video is called "A Quick Lil Blush Tip 🙌🏻" if you want to check it out. I saved it because I intend to try it with an Hourglass Vanish and a Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Blush Wand. Wish there was more understanding about the way very fair skinned people struggle with foundations, blushes and highlighters being too dark. I finally found a foundation I love that's light enough and has a beautiful glow and that's Chanel N`1 BD01... it's even lighter than N10. Hope her trick helps you be able to wear these beautiful blushes. ❤ P.S. Thank you... I always search for fair skin videos to see what happens with blush on fair skin.

Being as gentle as you can, try tapping your brush in 1 time only. NO more! Tap off the excess on your hand as much as possible (more than what I saw you do in your video). Apply to your cheek softly. Put down the brush with product on it. Now use a clean brush with no product to blend it out. If it’s still too much for you, go over it with the brush you used to apply your foundation. That little bit of foundation left on the brush will tone it down. Even when not working with a blush that has a lot of pigmentation, it’s a good idea to blend around the edges of your blush with your foundation brush to get a more seamless application with no patchiness or harsh lines. It sounds complicated but it’s not! Keep trying to figure out how to start with less blush on your brush. You can do it!!!!

Yeah I don't like these blushes they are SO pigmented! And while I have a fair skin tone mine is still deeper than yours. I have She's Blushing and I'm considering rehoming it. When I use both cream and powder together it looks a little insane. I always have to go over it with my foundation brush to cover it up. I don't find that it blends very well either because it's so pigmented (and I totally have the hang of using rare beauty blush...). I have used all kinds of techniques including various brushes, sponge, finger application, tapping it off in my hand before applying, making sure the brush is evenly saturated, holding my breath while picking up product 😂. Agree it isn't user friendly for fair skin! But I think outside of the fair realm it is probably really nice. Just doesn't work for me due to the nature of the product.

While the most neutral blush harmonized best with your coloring, the pinks look more pigmented. To be fair, it could be the blue tones in the blush standing out more and highlighting the “problem” with the product to a greater degree. I don’t think you should have to fight with makeup; it ought to be fun and make you feel good. Either way, it’s the product and not you!

I've come soo close to buying these blushes so many times but I'm the same shade as printer paper & my gut has always said don't do it. This vid just sealed it for me. If I ever pick any up, it'll be "not too much" 🫶
