Of radicals living somewhere there, although isolated even by the townsfolk people. But they were used as a focused to condemn the whole town. But it will be no different than condemning a whole town/state for having the Westboro Baptist Church or a neo-nazi or kkk cell. According to MSM and BigTech is bad to associate Islamic people to certain terrorist groups that been causing trouble for over 100 years. But it is perfectly fine to condemn a whole town for a group of radicals that live on it.

My dad was in the embassy department (U.S) when I was a child and both my parents were immigrants so I was immersed in multiple cultures and to understand and respect them. Also I have an unending amount of curiosity. I also travel as much as I can. Luckily being a violinist allows me to indulge in my wonderlust. Take care and best wishes. @@nybergsgarage Well, our media and history only wants to talk about those who "did it bad". It's what you want to remember about US history that makes it today. A lot of people can go on about how Europeans came over and stole land, owned slaves and segregate the races. But, a lot of them came to be in the abolitionist movements, fight on the Union side of the Civil war, fight to end wars against the natives and land seizers and took part in the Civil Rights movement. It's only what people want to hear and remember about a country to make it what it is today. Especially with the white half of the country.

Honestly, people tend to be friendly wherever you go if you're friendly first. Southern Whites in particular are crucified by Hollywood as the world's most horrible people, but the truth is that any given group of white American southerners is not unlike any other ethnic/national group of anyone else. Most will be nice or at least cordial. Some will be indifferent. A few will be hostile.

I don’t that’s necessarily what they’re trying to show here. Being uneducated on it doesn’t make you racist but most educated people on it will likely not be racist. Every racist I see tends to be very uneducated on other cultures and plays into stereotypes. I think they were trying to show that not everyone in this town is racist opposed to that everyone in this town is racist. It’s also more about their reactions to the questions and not how many they get right.

same, plus i liked how he had knowledge on parts of asia outside of east asia. This channel is run by east asian people so I understand why that was what their questions were focused on, but people always ignore central asia, south asia, and west asia (also sometimes south east asia) when talking about the continent and its cultures, but he knew about the whole continent rather than one part

They are talking to an Asian guy. If you were a racist, would you express your racism directly at his face? Of course not. All they are doing is abiding by basic manners while talking to a stranger, no matter their actual belief. Just because they don't sound explicitly racist doesn't mean they aren't. Not assuming or anything, but it can really be either way.

Since a lot of people are offended by the title: This is a follow-up to another video that established that while the town is labeled the most racist, you can't judge the entire town by the KKK which has its HQ there. The video is titled ironically to demonstrate again that the town isn't as bad as its been made out to be. The point is everyone should be more open-minded and not treat others based on prejudice. They aren't saying the whole town is racist.

I know someone kind of like that but they are 3/4th white and 1/4th Vietnamese (she looks completely white though with brown hair and blue eyes). She is my mom's best friend. Her father is half white and half Vietnamese while her mom is a white. Her father was an orphan (abandoned because father was an American soldier while mom was a prostitute) so he grew up around Vietnamese locals his whole life speaking exclusively Vietnamese. Her mom came to Vietnam to teach English to Vietnamese officials. Their common language was Vietnamese so that's mostly what they spoke while my mom's friend was growing up. When my mom's friend and their family moved to California, my mom's friend wasn't fluent with English. Her mom taught her some English because she's an English teacher, but my mom's friend didn't really have to use it in Vietnam. It has improved drastically over these 2 decades but you can still hear her Vietnamese accent while speaking English even though she looks completely white.

I think this video shows we shouldn't be sowing stereotypes and perhaps some of the divisions we create are only of our own perceptions. The morale. Don't judge a book a book by its cover or because someone else already described the cover and no one bothered to follow up. I couldn't get most of these questions. There is no distinction here between a town in Arkansas and its people and a town in California, Washington or Oregon.

I remembered I was on a two week training in Texas. I went to a church for Sunday service (back then I was still religious). It was at Deep South, and the all white Baptist church congregation looked at me like I was some strange alien, and I heard them sort of whispering and wondering where I was from. They seemed asking some ushers to find me a Japanese Bible or something, but before long the service started as the organist played the first hymn, and the congregation stood up and started sing. I took the Baptist hymnal and found the hymn and sang along - and I could see them watched me in utter amazement because I could sing their hymns (I attended an Anglican school and sang Christian hyms for years). They talked with me for a while after the service and were curious to know where I came from. People don't become xenophobic or just racists, they were misled into hatred - the whole America must receive a lot more information about other places, instead of just watching Superbowl, NBA or baseball.
