I feel like Mana and some of the replacements have some unique options because of their gameplay story integration. Non holy blood kids (Mana especially) have their arcs about being in the shadows of the holy warriors and it would be awesome to see gameplay story integration beyond the holy blood/no holy blood dichotomy

Personal skills are one of my favourite things about 3DS (bar Awakening)/Switch FE. It'd be neat to have personal skills for the FE4 units, especially in the context of a remake which (hopefully) gives the characters a bit more depth. I'd be suprised if they didn't do it, tbh.

3:24 The correct spelling of this name is Naoise, and it's pronounced more like Nee-sha, the same way the E at the end of Deirdre isn't silent. It comes from a character from Irish mythology, and there's also many people present day that have the name Naoise. It's pretty much universally mispronounced by the fandom, so I don't blame you for being unaware! (also since there's no 'official' pronunciation from IS they could go with something else.) I'm not a fan of skills emblem in general but if we're going to have FE4 come back, the game that begat skill emblem, then we might as well make personal skills. The question truly being how impactful they should be - a good personal skill can make a bad unit conceptually interesting and potentially good, while a bad personal skill ends up being so minor that it gets completely forgotten about outside of flavor. I think it would also be interesting if Eldigan had a personal skill. I'm not quite sure what it would be - it could be a simple stat boost, honestly. But giving him a personal skill would signify to the player that he's important, maybe even give a player who knows nothing about the game the impression that he's going to become playable. I'm not sure if any other game in the series does this but I think it would be a very interesting way to weave gameplay into storytelling.

As Jugdrals strongest warrior I’ve actually mulled over an idea for personal skills for FE4s characters but they were nowhere near as stylized as your ideas, I’m a big fan of what you did for the Issach twins

I think Aideen should have something related to Warp. Something like being able to warp herself or being able to warp units to green castles

A personal thought for Ayra is that "Fierce Ally" would be a slightly better name. It would hold the double meaning of "An ally who is fierce" which describes her general fighting style and personality, and around chapter 5 would also contain the implication of "Someone who is fiercely allied with us" which describes Ayra quite well since she put her loyalty to Sigurd above her pledge to her late brother, and quite likely did go down fighting alongside him at Bellhalla.

4:38 This issue is pretty massively overblown. We both recognize that Azelle has enormous problems outside of this, but I'm not gonna let my scrunkly's combat (when he actually manages the 50 mile walk to the battlefield) get slandered like this... Base Azelle has -3 AS. Now I know this sounds absolutely dogshit, and, well, it kind of is, but we're playing FE4 where every enemy that isn't using a sword is as slow as a snail and you also only need 1 more point of speed to double. In Chapter 1, Azelle can double all of the generic axe wielding units without incident, most of them are chilling at like -8 AS or worse. He can also double Kinbaith at range since FE4 enemies auto-equip stuff to counterattack, which puts him equipping the Hand Axe and falling to -5 AS. Gandolf's speed stat is kinda wacky so despite how heavy his weapon is, he's sitting at -2 AS. Since Azelle's speed growth is cracked by FE4 gen 1 standards, he can reach the 11 speed he needs to double from four levels on average, which I don't think is particularly difficult as a result of the Arena's existence. He's not gonna be doubling the Hunters on the map, but whatever those guys don't even counter when your scrubs wail on them... In Chapter 2, Azelle will 10000% be buying the Thunder tome from the shop and getting that juicy +5 AS. He obviously won't be doubling Woltz (12 AS) or the Mackily myrms (10 AS), but that's a problem that is far from unique to him. He should be easily doubling everything from Heirhein, but to double the sword knights in Woltz's squad (also the sword cavs at Agusty) he'll need 13 speed, AKA 4 speed procs. Not impossible, but not the most likely thing either. Also he does the most unironically valuable thing he ever does AKA killing Macbeth so hooray for him. It's also annoying how he doesn't really oneround armors yet but that'll come, that'll come. (Not because he can't double or anything but because he's not strong enough, them FE4 armors got fat HP) Okay so like Azelle got the speed from Thunder last map but now he gets Elfire in chapter 3 so he gets to pick and choose between wanting +5 speed and +6 magic so that's neat. Thankfully, we're back to him being able to double like 90% of the enemies on this map and that's good, I don't know if my heart could handle seeing more of Azelle failing to do the one thing he's supposed to be good at...anyways, yeah, other than Jacoban and Eldigan these bitches out here getting DOUBLED. He'll likely need to take the power drop from Thunder to double the bow knights on the map, but he can still oneround the unpromoted ones so we're okay on that front. And yeah all of the armors here are eating 2x Elfire into death and I'm so happy for you Azelle you're so cool why don't you just promote okay you can be a good unit now i promise after this if you've been actually using him like a stupid person (me :3333333) he's probably promoting and if he isn't then lmao hope he has fun watching the npc pegasus knight battle or something idk by this point simultaneously he becomes way more competent as an actual unit but also like his ability to kill shit becomes less impressive with every holy weapon that you get so he's not as fun really still a great lad though 10/10 i hope the remake stirs up some delicious drama involving him in gen 2
