🌕 bought a new Chinese Dan Dan onewheel about 6 years ago. It dumbed me just stopped at about 10 mph twice ,2 days in a row. I had pucks slide gloves and was able to get a couple steps before tearing holes in my elbows. So I went on “you tube” and found a guy who said don’t run a Dan Dan in beginner mode they will stop at 8 mph. I can’t believe that ! you could get killed and there wasn’t even any warning labels. I moved on to a real onewheel gen one and never had it ever just stop. How insane... this explains to me why Chinese shoe laces are about 20” longer than they need to be.

As much of a joke this board is, I’m excited for so,e competition. After the original onewheel, I was expecting hot swap batteries. Nope. Just bigger battery. Then the +. Then the XR. Then the Pint X. Then the GT. They just get heavier. Electric vehicle/toy companies, check this out. Standardize a battery pack for various things. Then you can just swap them easily. Like AA and AAA and 9v, but something for onewheels and bikes etc. Can’t be that hard. Same with tool makers. Just get together and agree on a battery that can run on any tool….

Yes, all Onewheel’s have trouble starting in cold weather. When the foot sensor gets cold it doesn’t operate very well

@The Float Life As a Uav operator, I disagree. One wheels remind me of the late and early 2010s. When first entering the drone hobby to build a 5", it was nearly $500-700. Now, ten years later, with 100 times better equipment, I can build an analog quad for about $90. As a business model, one wheel would be smart to look at different ways to reduce the cost of components and make it more accessible to the market. As of right now, every friend I ride with has bought their onewheel on a second-hand market. That should explain why these companies are popping up. Onewheel has a crappy market department and clearly to much overhead cost. They won't have a monopoly forever if things don't change.
