You may of heard that Harley-Davidson pressed the crankshaft assembly together on the Twin Cam and that it's not a good thing. It's not necessarily a bad thing either, in most cases it does work really well and you can still build some decent power on the stock crank. Issues with the pressed crankshaft are hit and miss just like the cam chain tensioners on the early Twin Cam engine. We'll take a look at the issues, what it takes to fix a factory crank, what the signs of a crankshaft problem are and some practical solutions and tips to keep your bike running strong.
