If anything the man with glasses is proud. Terry Lin is an amazing singer from Taiwan and he "adopted" Dimash as his son during the show. Yes they were competitors but they immediately formed a very touching friendship - Dimash calls him Lin Papa - and their supported each others performances. Terry invited Dimash to his concert and later Dimash invited Terry to perform in his first big solo concert Bastau in his homeland.

While many singers 'sing' towards you, Dimash's voice envelops you in a blanket and holds you close in his own world

The gentleman who stood and shook hands with Dimash was a dignitary from Kazakhstan who came to see him. Dimash became and remains very good friends with many of his competitors on this show. He has performed in different venues with them. Did you know that Dimash was officially proclaimed a "National Treasured" of Kazakhstan.

Dimash is always full of surprises and he slayed the Diva Dance. There is no one out there like him and I’m so great full I found his music. He is the greatest of all time!

You were right about the second performance being more precise. I'm not sure what it was because he performed both in 2017 plus by the time he sang the Diva dance at the Bastau concert, it was already half over! Can you imagine the stamina needed to sing the pieces he does with the power, emotion and drama that he puts into each one? And a concert full of them? He is amazing!

The thing you must mean about how penetrating his voice is is his ability to express all the emotion of the song through it. He doesn't only sings the song, he lives and experiences it and takes us with him on his journey by the way he sings. His range and technique are amazing, but it's not true he always does "the Dimash thing". That's what so many people are mistaken about when they react to Dimash, because for some reason Dears request only the crazy vocal range songs (at least until they run out of those), most of which were intended for contests or special occasions. Why? I have no idea. Personally, I think his songs with a more limited range are not less beautiful and moving and not less brilliantly performed. His Kazakh songs are among the most melodious, gorgeous and moving songs I have ever heard. The same can be said about his Chinese songs, and many others. I think it's a huge mistake to present Dimash as someone who is mostly about range and does the same things in all his songs. Dimash is first of all a great artist and he does all he needs to serve the song. He himself said that he is not a vocal acrobat, but a singer.

Dimash's energy is not a earthy one but a divine energy which gives him the power to invade the souls of his dears around the world ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yeah just sit back, listen, enjoy, and appreciate that we are blessed to have this great talent, trying to break Dimash down is just impossible, he is an anomaly.

(на 2:43) Я полностью уверен, что есть некоторые песни, которые он поет, которые звучат более упрощенно. Но я считаю, что если кто-то другой поет, то он не будет звучать так хорошо, как будто у Димаша есть что-то в голосе (не знаю, как это объяснить), кроме того, что он просто замечательно хорош. Как будто это «что-то» придает ему очень легкую воздушность и спокой-ствие. Это «что-то» больше похоже на чувство, чем на что-либо другое. Люди могут делать неко-торые вещи, но первая часть песни вроде бы простая, но его голос просто звучит «жутко», будто разрывает струны вашего сердца. (на 4:20) Немного странно, что он мне так нравится. В его голосе так сильно и ясно чувствуется интерпретация, что здесь (в сюжете песни) происходит что-то. Он говорит: «Почему другая женщина?», но как будто это часть меня, такая эгоистичная (будто это я спрашиваю) - я просто позволяю ему петь, его голос такой красивый. О-о-о-о-о… (на 5:10) Я люблю видеть лица зрителей, как они смотрят на него со странным выражением шока на лице у большинства людей, с застывшими лицами, когда его слушают. Это похоже на меня, потому что мой мозг, с одной стороны, думает - «как это хорошо!», а, с другой стороны» - «что с этим делать?». Вы как-будто в шоке. (на 6:10 вытер слезы) Что касается первой части песни «Конфесса», то многие люди думают - «о, и я могу петь это». Они так думают, пока он не перейдет в «режим Димаша». Но и когда Димаш поет в обычном режиме, а также в нижнем диапазоне, когда он не слишком настойчив и просто поет, все равно (в его пении) что-то есть. А потом это (взрыв) происходит в каждой песне. Это будет не песня Димаша, если не будет его полного (обрушения) на вас. Боже мой! (на 7:16 началась «Дива данс») Я думаю, что всех немного пощекотали и отвлекли. «Подождите, что произойдет прямо сейчас…». … (на 8:24) Скажите мне, что это другой парень (не Димаш). Тот парень («ушел»), а этот кажется таким обезумевшим прямо сейчас из-за того, как он просто сокрушает совершенно невозможную версию этой песни. (на 9:51 взялся за голову) Ах! Я чувствую, что он единственный человек в мире, который мог бы исполнить эту песню из-за диапазона. Я не знаю никого, кто бы мог это спеть. Когда в конце он упал на спину, это как бы показало, сколько от него уходит в его музыку, например, сколько энергии и усилий вкладывается в нее. Боже мой, это было безумием! Теперь (посмотрим) «Диву Данс» с концерта «Бастау», мы сделаем небольшое сравнение (двух выступлений). Проверим это сейчас. (на 11:49 вытирает слезы) Бог мой! Просто пойми, как это возможно? Это кажется более точным, чем на китайском конкурсе, т.к. там он был в промежутке между пением другой песни. Сейчас ноты в «Диве данс» мне кажутся более точными. (на 13:03) Вы слышали этот пробег? Я даже не знаю… Я сдаюсь, я отказываюсь от попыток понять… Мне нравится, когда я заканчиваю слушать его песни. Мой мозг чувствует усталость, как будто он болит. … Все, что я знаю о музыке, не имеет здесь (с Димашем) смысла. Поэтому это буквально вредит моему мозгу, т.к. он пытается вычислить или вроде бы выяснить, как это (у Димаша) работает. You'd be surprised, not every Dimash song is about his high notes. He actually has a lot that are just soft ballads or folk songs and they are still beautiful. A lot of his Mandarin pop songs are just soft ballads also. ❤

First song was "Confessa". Beginning part sung in Mandarin a couple of phrases later it was sung in Italian.

Exactly. He changes the atmosphere and feeling of the song. I've tried to listen to the original confessa and even though the lyrics are beautiful, I couldn't get into the song at all. Dimash changed it completely for me, especially that last line..."whoever does not love, will not be loved." 😭

I enjoy your reactions so much! I remember my own confusion while discovering new Dimash songs. There are so much unbelievable parts in his singing and I thought by myself „How is it possible? He is 22…“ But some day you get used to it. You get used to his greatness and surrender. And you are right, there is something in his voice, this voice is the most well trained voice I ever listened to ( and I‘m fan of opera!). The color, the warmth, the smoothness,the might. And speaking of his voice you can start to enumerate all the superlatives you know. And then comes the day you like more his songs without the vocal artistry, without incredible highnotes or eternity long belts. And you end up with your favorite song being a ballad. A simple ballad conveing so much emotion that your heart wants to burst. For me that’s „Amanat“ ( and a song that’s not released yet called Ómir óter). I always enjoy your heartfelt reactions to music. Dimash expresses intensity of emotion through his incredible voice which reaches across the space to touch the listeners' heart where music really resides. We are drawn most to that which can touch our hearts, or resonate with us. His vocal ability, agility, and six plus octave range are amazing, but it's how he can sing dynamically and convey emotion that truly resonates within our hearts, and makes him that vocalist we cannot forget.

The other guy you are referring to Dimash lovingly calls Papa Lin, they are actually best friends since this singing competition, he also is a fantastic and well known singer in his own right, Terry Lin. He helped and encouraged Dimash who had to live in China for quite a while not knowing the language and no one at the time.

Hi, if you want to see the best version of the second part (the diva dance) which is an impossible song of the movie the fifth élément, look at THE DIVA DANCE in Bastau.It's a short video but wow incredible...even better than this one.Dimash can also do a song without multiple variations but beautiful...AMANAT for exemple or KARAGYM-AI. It depends of what you're looking for but it's his voice which bewitched us not only his acrobatics.
