Not at all, but your dip shit ass is im guessing, ( jumps right on the "climate change wagon") cause everyone else is. The entire scientific community said at one time that the Earth was flat. . . only one guy was saying it was round... think about that one, you slacked jawed sloth.
@JaX-cu7hb5 жыл бұрын
@@TheKruze88 yeah but this climate change topic is way different than the whole flat earth theory. back then they didn't have the technology to actually see the earth from space, therefore that topic is a completely different story. There is data that shows temperatures are getting hotter, the hottest years on record keep on changing every year it seems, and heat records are being set all over. like I live in Ohio and had school off in September because it was like 98 outside. And just saying I'm not really heavily leaning towards my side, I'm up for discussion and respect your opinion.

Does it matter to you at all that this is not a demonstration of failed glaciers? Or have you already made up your mind about that? The calving of the leading edge of a moving sheet of ice is a natural process. Ongoing since the end of the last ice age 10k years ago. It’s safe to enjoy it.

To everyone upset at people cheering, I totally understand what you mean and it’s annoying, but you also have to remember that videos do NOT capture the grandeur and sheer scale of an event like this; being in person is 1000% more thrilling. With that being said, I think most of these people cheering would agree, when it’s all said and done that it’s not **good** that the glaciers are calving, but in the moment, cheering and laughing is all they can do :/ I wish they were more quiet too, but chances are, I wouldn’t be thinking about global warming while witnessing something of this proportion and grandeur. Thanks :)
@SarahlabyrinthLHC2 жыл бұрын
It's perfectly normal for glaciers to calve when they reach the water. Just like your ice in your drink melts. When glaciers lose ice to the sea, it is because the ice is being pushed into the sea by more fresh snow/ice forming and pushing it from the top of the glacier. Also, land can sink or rise according to what the techtonic plates are doing, and give the impression that the sea is rising or falling and all part of natural processes. The climate can change from warm to cols, and does, driven by our local star called the Sun. You can see this on a smaller scale between daytime temperatures when the sun is shining and night time temperatures when the earth is less directly affected, thus nights being cooler that the day. During the Ice age the earth had much more snow and ice than it does now. The future might bring a time with less snow and ice than there is now. Life on Earth is pretty adaptable.

A whole mess of people in their flimsy boats thinking 'it can't happen to me!' Maybe not this time. It is foolishness on their part thinking they can challenge the powerful forces on earth, how nieve, for it only takes one time for them to miscalculate the actions of the falling tons of ice.
