the view from swiftcurrent lookout is even more spectacular [world's best view from an outhouse] the view from the pass extraordinary [looking down swiftcurrent valley] next to pitamakan pass, this is my favorite pass view

Fantastic video of your hike. It was fun hearing Cathy giving a blow by blow description of the hike. Some of those trails where a little scary!!! Beautiful, though!!

LOVE your 2 videos going over and back over this pass and down to Granite Park Chalet. THANK YOU! I got a bit nervous on the switchbacks up toward the top just from your video. I would be OK on foot up there BUT. Is this the SAME trail they went over in the Early years on pack horses with Tourists??? Was there a different trail for 'pack trains'? Absolutely Beautiful videos. So appreciated for us older folks who MAY make it but decide to enjoy THIS instead! Thanks! :)

Yes, this is a beautiful trail, and yes they rode horses up this trail! Not sure if the trail was any different back then but I don't see how it could have been. There is not much room! You really should go try it. You will surprise yourself what you are capable of once you get out there. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@emptynesthikers THANKS for your reply! :) (I love all the old photos I see at places like the Glacier Park Lodge display and they got my interest up re: this trail).... And it just now dawned on me. I would guess the Guides would 'ask' the Guests to dismount! Let the Horses lead the way thru the scary section(s) up at the Top. And Lead the Horses thru the scary (dangerous) parts up at the top - and 'let' the guests WALK that part of the climb. Same as you guys! lol :) How simple! AND that would be even more FUN for the guests! :) Once again. Great videos. Most Appreciated! :) Peter
