I wish they would’ve just turned this guy into an enemy in the DLCs. Imagine that Spirit Baron part from the Blood Swamps, but instead of a Baron it’s a possessed Gladiator 😂 The salt that would’ve generated, it would’ve been glorious. Oh well, I still have ML mods, so I don’t even need to imagine what that would be like.

Never thought about using the meathook to break out of the jump rope. I always bust out my chaingun shield, so I can just lay the damage on him while he holds still. Fire a rocket at him before the charge and he’ll ram into it, and stun himself. I usually can kill this boss in a single cycle now

Awesome work once again. I learned a lot. The meathook to get air and to get out of the laser traps is key. Things to add: Your BFG and Chainsaw are filled to full ammo after completing the first phase. Also they will refill again after beating him and going into the next level. SO blast away during the second phase cuz you get two free shots.....if needed of course. Can't wait for the next boss video!

Against Makyr Drones, when you do the video, they seem to take extra microwave beam damage compared to other heavies. Only a bit more to a fodder demon.

I hate this guy's second phase (or maybe sentinel prime in its entirety) so much that it's the single reason I'm probably never ever starting a thirt playthrough of this game. Throws out the entire game loop of managing enemies and thinking about how to recover your hitpoints in exchange for "shoot fast and dodge weird attacks, you can barely recover". I like his visual design but I hate fighting him wholeheartedly and feel ZERO enjoyment in the arena against him. Not to mention when the stagger/falter fucking fails when you shoot him in the face during the flash.
