Colli bolognesi Pignoletto is a DOCG ad well Albana di Romagna, The last one being the first DOGC ever made in Italy.

:) However, if you want to drink real Lambrusco, you need to select a ‘Lambrusco Rosso Frizzante Secco’ that’s 10.5+% alc. A Lambrusco Spumante is an Italian sparkling wine made with Lambrusco grapes. It’s not a Lambrusco.

Thank you for highlighting Lambrusco. It is often referred to as 'Red Prosecco' but of course Lambrusco is entirely different and separate from Prosecco.

Sparkling wines have really come a long way in Italy in recent years. And across the board. But if I’d have to pick some regions of note for sparkling I’d say Lombardia for Franciacorta Veneto for prosecco, and Emilia Romagna for Lambrusco.
