GORGEOUS. I wear this look all the time (as maybe you can see in my pic haha), with different lipsticks, for occasions much less formal than a masked ball - I wish I had more masked balls in my life!!! But I don't, so I just wear the makeup I like anyway.

Try to relax and enjoy it... the more relaxed you are the better your make-up will be. Have a good chat with the client before starting the make-up, this will help to ease you into it. Have fun! X

The point of tutorials like this is to give ideas for a new product that people might not have considered before, to help people who are having issues with their winged liners, etc. but in the context of a larger video so that more help can be offered!

Its from a designer called Solange Azagury Partridge. I got it around 5 or 6 years ago but she still makes them (in all different colours). I love to wear it every now and again, when the mood strikes! X

I much prefer doing make-up on other people. For me the great thing about being a make-up artist is working on different faces every day. Getting to really study a face, accentuate features, enhance and generally just getting to know a face is always a HUGE pleasure for me. I'm not as interested in making myself up, although it is still fun and I like teaching on myself as you can really show brush positions etc. X

Would truly love to have a consultation with you.... Blending brushes tend to be too large to fake a socket line on hooded eyes, and I was a grunge girl living through the heroin chic years, so everything was either no makeup to look child urchin doll-like, or just elaborate liquid eyeliner for goth makeup.... No blending, no concealer, no eye shadow -- then did very serious jobs, where any makeup got you treated like a bimbo..... So I feel really behind other women in their secrets.

you can just use the gel if you like. I find that liquid liner gives a very unique and graphic look and gel is just a little softer. I like to finish off the edges with gel but start with liquid to get the density and overall sharpness if thats makes sense. It just my way but you can definitely do your take X

I got a call from the Chanel HQ studio in Paris and they asked me.... simple as that. I already had a relationship with them doing various celebrities for event & red carpet and they already knew my work well ...for magazines, covers etc. Peter Phillips (chanel's Creative director) loved my blog as did other members of the make-up studio in Paris and so all of these things combined .... X

This is hands down the best look you have ever done and it is so simple! I love how you say red lips can make a person look mean - that is a very accurate description for me since my lips are medium but red does make them look thinner and I my face look hard - will try the cheat next time. Hi Lisa. Great video. I love the detail you go into when doing eyeliner. In most videos, people just seem to do it perfectly, so I always felt bad that I struggled. I was so happy to find this video. I watched your video about red lips before and now this, and it motivates me to maybe get a red lipstick. I have about the same complexion as you as well as almost the same hair colour, so I think that a lipstick in that shade will possibly work on me.
