I have bought Pour On Resin I have painted some tiles with Alcohol Inks, I want to use them as coasters, what I need to know is once I have put the Resin on and once it has cured can the coasters stand up to having a hot drink placed on it with no negative effect.

+killerbunny what brand of paints do you use ?
@4everisnotenough
@4everisnotenough 6 жыл бұрын
sheri vegas You can use any kind...personally I like w&n oil for a very bold rich look and Dr. Ph Martin's Bombay inks for a soft and sexy or even ethereal look. Golden acrylics are beautiful too. I use them a lot. I only use artist grade materials but if this is a hobby or something that will not be sold to the public you can use pretty much anything. It only really becomes an issue when you are concerned with lightfastness and archivability. That being said...for personal use you can use tattoo ink but not so cheap, RIT DYEMORE synthetic fiber dye which is very affordable at like $5 or less for 7 ounces! And a teeny bit goes a long way. You can use house paint but I'd thin it or use a very small amount because there is a significant difference with house paint compared to all other options as far as viscosity. Its very thick. Surprisingly you can get some beautiful results from the 50cent apple barrel paint at walmart, lol. Remember though..if your adding these things to the resin you want to use as little as possible. Some ppl say 10% or less but I try to keep it 5% or less...the absolute minimum needed to achieve desired results. All glitters and glitter glues I've used work great.👍 Except that really big glitter...personal preference...others may like it. Have fun!

I've never seen someone contradict themselves more than this woman. First, "stir in one direction" but she immediately stirs both ways, "you have to have a design in your head" pours resin then moves canvas around to completely change flow and her design, "don't touch it with the torch flame" immediately touches epoxy to where the torch flares up". Smfh, would have been better to replace her directions with even crappier music that what you were playing.
