This is a exclusive interview we conducted with Brian Glaze Gibbs, he told us a story about how Big Daddy Kane was allegedly robbed for his jewels in Brooklyn by members of his M&M crew in the late 1980s
All videos on this channel are created by me. I film my footage using a Cannon 4000D DSLR and also buy footage and images from royalty-free stock website Storyblocks for which I pay an annual membership. All the narrations are provided by me and or my guests and are exclusive for this channel. I interview guests and allow them to share their stories. I present these stories in a documentary style format. All the content has original commentary and narrative. My videos contain high quality edits and special effects to create truly unique content. I use Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop to help create these video. All the music I use is from KZfaq's Audio Library.

The irony is that today Kane is still doing shows in the same Brooklyn hoods & around the world while most of these goons are either dead or in the joint. Or now preaching the same messages that Kane was saying in his songs 30 years ago. Long live the Kane. Peace7

Big Daddy Kane & Biz never acted like they were gangsters. just really cool dudes who were entertainers that made music for the streets. But they way NYC was then was, anybody can get it for anything and @ anytime. Despite that mantra, a lot of ppl wore expensive clothes & heavy jewelry in the streets of NYC from early 80s to early 90s. But if you were around wolves, they gonna try u. Men women & children were getting robbed for jewelry designer glasses coats footwear & boomboxes. RIP to all those that died over those things.

K K maybe I just heard it differently. It didn't come off as informative to me it came off as a swipe at a legend. That's not at all how that came off to me and I'm from that era. Every hustler from that area who comes out with a video now feels like letting you know that your favorite rapper wasn't a superhero its their way of glorifying the gangsters as opposed to the guys who you looked up to, and it's always has to do with black when it's a black man talkin about the robbery of another black man as if it's something to hang his hat on. BDK is still BDK and this eras attempt to turn gangsters and criminals into celebrities is damn near sickening, and I'm a guy from that era that some people called a criminal and I would never want anybody to glorify any of the stupid s*** that I did. That's not what gangsters do, not real ones anyway

@@MrRed-yj3my no they couldn't, number one they cost a lot of bread and back then the hood was poor for real. So, you had to be getting money somehow to get jewels that size. Next, you couldn't walk down town BK(Albeesquare Mall), Pitkin Ave, or ride the subway, at that time and not get robbed unless you was a real dude or chilled with a real click

Bloods, Black P Stones, Atlanta B.M.F had his back...the Paid in Full Posse is massive! and not to be fucked with!

Kane never presented himself as a gangsta, but dookie ropes were a status symbol with Rappers and athletes back in the 80's, just as luxury items have always been a sign of having come up, in urban America. If Kane had been killed, he'd be as revered as Big and Pac. Neither can really touch his all-around greatness, but Hip-Hop fans have the memory span of Dory the fish.
