This is a short web documentary directed by me, which features narration from Shorty Roc of the Yellow Top Crew. Shorty Roc shares his life story with us and explains how he turned his life around for the better.
All videos on this channel are created by me. I film my footage using a Cannon 4000D DSLR and also buy footage and images from royalty-free stock website Storyblocks for which I pay an annual membership. All the narrations are provided by me and or my guests and are exclusive for this channel. I interview guests and allow them to share their stories. I present these stories in a documentary style format. All the content has original commentary and narrative. My videos contain high quality edits and special effects to create truly unique content. I use Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop to help create these video. All the music I use is from KZfaq's Audio Library.

Killers, and dealers aren’t being glorified. It’s just a huge part of NY culture throughout the 80’s, and 90’s. Crack Epidemic was blinding so much went on and changed so many peoples lives. That same area of uptown today is gentrified and much safer. The end message is what is important.
@highmost7

Ramble79 ... Exactly. The sad thing is that damned near every city in the U.S. was on fire back then and a lot of people aren't here because of it. Hopefully, the message reaches someone.
@curli-lettey4319
@curli-lettey4319 6 жыл бұрын
Ramble79 You're correct, its not being glorified when that was the economic boom for the urban communities during the crack era and in some other places way before that. What other young teenagers you know was making more than the average executive makes in a year, in a week? (And if you were really pushing wate, making that in a day!) And that's one or two people earning that kind of money. You won't hear that no more, and videos like this is telling the stories of yesteryear to these young ones who think shooting and killing at random is big. No, hear these guys stories and you'll think twice about what you were about to do.

True, can't understand why people admired the mob, can't understand why people bragged about being in jail. Last, can't understand why we glorify criminal activity in the hood about guys who littered the hood with drugs that led to people over dosing on drugs, rapes, robberies and murders. These guys that sold the drugs made millions, but many of them also got long prison sentences or was murdered. What's so legendary about that. What kind of legacy did they leave for their children? Do you think they are running businesses, have a great job or are probably dealing drugs too? That's why I left NYC. Too many people are living a lie. Positive brothers are deemed squares and being ghetto is viewed as being cool and it is hard to raise boys that environment. I have 3 sons and didn't want them to live that life which is nothing to brag about. Sorry to anyone who might take offense to my comments but that's my truth!

I mean, I get it but if not him, it’d be someone else. He paid for it. He lost a huge chunk of his life to prison. Also that’s all he knew. Abandoned by his father, thrown into a system that failed him. Come on now. How you gonna get a job at McDonald’s at 11 or 12? Selling dope was easy, fast money. That’s why so many people thought they could just get away with it. Don’t be so quick to judge.

You buggin . Plenty of mob members won . Became wealthy , died of natural causes , bettered their family first , and set the tone for the lifestyle . Carlo Gambino being one that I always admired. The mob ( mafia ) had the bigger picture . Barely or never served prison time
