answering all/most of hannahs questions: 1) kurt left mckinley (the school this song take place at) and went to a school called dalton academy. he met blaine there and they started dating. kurt then went back to mckinley and blaine decided to transfer there as well so they could be together. 2) all transitions in glee are abrupt, this honestly isn't the worst of them. 3) there are close up shots of the cheerleaders because people weirdly sexualize people playing high school girls 4) santana is up there with blaine in second command for no there reason other then the fact that she is also a main character and cheerleader (i think) 5) quinn was the one smoking the cigarette that she threw on the piano and she did it on purpose to light it on fire because she used to be a part of the glee club until she got pregnant, gave her baby up for adoption, and became a "bad girl" and decided that the glee club ruined her life

I love Blaine's versions of "Hey,Jude", "Cough Syrup", "Suddenly Seymour", "All of Me", and "Teenage Dream". Side note, I think listening to "The Scientist" would be so cool! It's a group number( not only Darren's voice), but the song pierces right into my heart every time I hear it, the music and the scene.

Context for the piano burning & cheerios: Sue told the cheerios that they needed to destroy the purple pianos b/c she wants to take down the glee club. Santana’s in the glee club but also the captain of the Cheerios. Sue told her she needed to pick a side, either destroy the pianos or get kicked off the team. So the Cheerios performance was a set up. (When they’re running around the piano they’re dumping lighter fluid on it)

The hip shots are probably hommages to Sir Tom Jones since he is known for his swinging 60's dance hips with this song. I also love his performance of Raise your Glass and Somebody that I used to know.

There's an acoustic version of Teenage Dream that Darren sang which was recorded live for the performance and he was amazing in it, cough syrup is also another great cover he did just to name a few

DEFINITELY “Hopelessly devoted to you” is the BEST performance of Darren Criss in Glee

can't believe no one is suggesting "somewhere only we know", it's my personal favorite song darren sang on the show. also, even though it's not darren, grant and naya are incredible on "smooth criminal".

If you want to pick a song that really shows his talents, I would go with a live song. Darren is the only cast member to get whole songs (that end up in the albums) live, so that already says something. His two live solos are "Against All Odds" and "Teenage Dream" (but only the Season Five version). Or you could go with the recorded but equally impressive ones. So basically, here are the top five I think you should choose from: - Teenage Dream S5 (LIVE) - Against All Odds (LIVE) - Beauty School Dropout (my personal favorite Darren solo - his voice is just so soothing and perfect) - Fighter - Cough Syrup (tons of people will most likely be saying this one) I'd suggest any of these. Everybody's talking about how Cough Syrup is Darren's best performance and I have to say that as much as I do love CS, his version of Somewhere Only We Know is one of my favorite songs ever.

Darren's best performance in glee: Somewhere Only We Know. Season 2 Episode 18: Born This Way. By far. He also performed it in a church in London(correct me if I'm wrong) and my God, I'm in tears. It's so magical. The acoustics are heavenly.

You should really react to the GLEE episode “duets”, you’ll be able to meet all of the main characters and that episode showcases a lot more of the singers.

Pleeease react to S04E04 "The Breakup" episode! Its one of the best in performances and storyline! There's singing from all of them, includding an actual LIVE PERFORMANCE of Darren Criss, a DUET with him and Cory Monteith, a stunning cover of Taylor Swift's "Mine" by Naya Rivera, and a really emotional performance of Coldplay's "The Scientist" at the end. This episode is just another level.

I was laughing hysterically at your reaction to Santana leading the Cheerios and Quinn lighting the piano on fire! I love watching reactions to song from Glee without context, though with context makes them so much better since you know the significance of that particular song. Well, most of the time since there are still song songs that just don’t make sense with the situation.
