Glen Campbell Sings "It's Just a Matter of Time"

From April 1986, Glen Campbell sings a rather rockin' performance of "It's Just a Matter of Time" on British TV, with T.J. Kuenster on piano, then joins host Terry Wogan and talks about his childhood, growing up, working with what is now known as the Wrecking Crew, working with Frank Sinatra and the Beach Boys, performing for the Queen Mother who is a big fan, and wraps it up with Jerry Reed's "A Thing Called Love". Somewhere in all that, Glen plays a little bit of "Sugar Foot Rag".

What a version of this song. I have heard Brook Benton sing it so much and so long, It is difficult of me to think of others singing this song. Glen did did a fantastic job. I thoroughly enjoyed this version.

This is the from his album a matter of time, there are some really fab songs on there, it’s quite a sad album with some of the songs, and very heart wrenching, Do what you gotta do being one of them, if anyone gets a chance please have a listen . RIP Glen love and miss you. 🕊🕊🕊

Is'nt it a gift to have all these wonderful clips of Glen to remember him by.(thanks to breautube), He seemed particularily relaxed in this interview possibly due to Terry's easy going relaxed manner. May they both be at peace.

I agree with you Sean. Glenn was the total package. He was so diverse. The man was one hell of guitar player. I'm intermediate guitar player. He could play any style of music. He left us one hell of legacy. Truly missed. There will never be another Glenn Campbell.

I remember when this Brook Benton cover came out - it was so great then, and still great. What a performer Glen was: one of the best lead guitarist who ever lived, great vocalist and personality. Interesting to see him playing rhythm guitar here. I'm used to seeing him break loose. Thanks for posting this!

probably the best covers of Glen Campbell, is a British guy called Adrian Paris, its just like listening to Glen, when he does his songs.

I absolutely love Glen Campbell's covers. No one can cover as many artists as he has. Most of them I like as well if not better than the original. But "It's Just a Matter of Time" belongs to Brook Benton. I think Glen would agree. I'm not sure the Cajun yell registered with the Brits. :)
