I saw the same show on Long Island about a month ago. His voice at his age is amazing. A total freak of nature and he gets it. He knows he’s lucky to be alive. I really wanted to like Yngwie but I ended up walking out, he was that bad. He needs to change his act and evolve, so incredibly self absorbed

Glenn is a freak of nature. Drugs almost killed him, and he finally kicked their ass. He's a machine. Absolutely great band, too. About the first time I've seen a guy play the riff to "Burn" absolutely correct - as well as getting Ritchie's sound. Great video!

Loved Deep Purple and had even seen them in the mid 70's in Pittsburgh not long after they fired Rod Evans. I really loved a few of their albums but Come Taste the band stands out to me big time. I loved that band. Bolin was such a tasteful guitarist. Coverdale on vocals. His last album with the band I believe. The best version of Highway Star I have ever seen was Chickenfoot.

Chapeau bas Monsieur Glenn Hugues.....

@SamPlaysBass49 interesting,...when I watch and hear those Bitter Sarcastic interviews with Hughes about Ritchie Not wanting to go along with Him and Davids "Shoe Shine" Music. Especially the part when they had No Tangible material for a New Album after Burn and they All were waiting for Ritchie to come up with something. Well, "He walks in the room one day and has the Riff to Stormbringer"...says Hughes sarcastically. Ironically, He's been capitalizing on That and Burn for 50 fucking yrs now because He has remotely NOTHING as memorable that He, David or Jon came up with themselves. So He has to play those 2 songs along with some mark2 stuff to keep that lame audience interested!

What the hell are you talking about? Coverdale calls Richie his musical mentor, and I bet you that less than 5% of his wealth comes from Purple, as Whitesnake was bigger than Purple ever was in the US. Glenn as well always praises Richie in interviews.
@nickname9873214 ай бұрын
Glenn Hughes continues to eat because of Trapeze, Black Country Communion, The Dead Daisies, Music for the Divine, Resonate, and because he keeps his enormous talent honed. Blackmore's social incompetence and Gillan's egotistical envy are irrelevant for anyone who's been paying attention
