More than 5,500 people witnessed a spectacular show where the singer for 2.5 hours sparkled on stage. During the concert she was assisted by her 10-piece live band and fellow artists Edwin Evers, Lange Frans and Candy Dulfer. Also made comedian Jandino Asporaat Judeshka as his alter ego for a hilarious surpriseact.
Glennis Grace know with her beautiful voice to bring the public in emotion and so were the comments after frantic. The press was very enthusiastic. By ' Glennis Grace enchants HMH ' (Spits) to ' Glennis moves full HMH ' (NLTracks). Everyone was in agreement; This was a concert where you had to have been!

Unfortunately America dropped her. She had American representation but They found her too difficult to work with. Glennis could see that America basically wanted her to jump into Whitney’s place and continue on her path and Glennis didn’t want that. Glennis didn’t want to sell her soul to the music indiustry

But how many of those people have the voice type and actually knows how to use it like this??? This is the result of a perfect vocal cord/vocal type match, endless talent, musicality, and training.

@amy rose every year there's a ladies of soul concert here in Holland where she performs with candy dulfer, trijntje oosterhuis, edsilia rombley and berget Lewis along with some great names as guest performers like Sheila E, oletta adams, Frank mccomb. They are all great on stage.

Whitney did have a drug problem but she was amazing Glennis is my fellow Dutch citizen and she is clean well from what I know. Note there's no actual sweating. When Whitney was high or low not sure she did have symptoms we saw that just wish they could have saved her from destruction!!

Whitney was a VOCAL PHENOM PERIOD folks...!!! I am blessed to have the gift of voice myself and have looked up to Whitney and Patti Labelle as my vocal inspirations. And i FULLY believed when i heard the EXTREMELY tragic news of Whitney's death. That we had lost someone so unbelievably gifted who in all likelihood would never be replaced again. Then i heard Glennis Grace sing and closed my eyes. And what i'm about to say i don't say lightly but i felt Whitney had been reborn. I'm a VERY spiritual person and i do FULLY believe the lord works in mysterious ways. Did he put Whitney's voice into Glennis no. However, did he put her spirit into Glennis YES...!!! Because that's what i feel when i close my eyes and listen to Glennis sing. Whitney's spirit shining through another person who is blessed with a vocal gift. And honestly folks i can live with that feeling just fine. RIP Whitney and THANK YOU for inspiring me vocally with your music and gift. Your gone but NEVER forgotten and Glennis is living proof of that.

In fact, Glennis began to sing when she heard for the first time Whitney singing. She was 9 years old . Glennis wanted to sing as well as Miss Houston . Later, when she was 16 years old, she won a tv singers contest singing Whitney and the title : one moment in time . Glennis sings her own songs in dutch but keep a place for Whitney’s songs . Overall I don't think it mattered what she did on AGT. The Show was directed & cast to display her talents & certainly did. They decided what songs she sung, clothes she wore & how her hair was styled. In a way this wasn't fair & I don't believe the same "rules" were imposed on other singers.

Glennis Grace had a very difficult career after her debute in 1994 in the Netherlands. There were only three channels back then, and more than half of the country watched the Soundmixshow. She put on a stunning performance with a Whitney cover, and she won the show. It was the best performance during the 6 year existence of this show. But after that performance , her career didn't went in a good way. She had bad management, the public wasn't interested and forgot her. Nobody remembered her anymore for years. In 2006, her management didn't believe in her anymore and they broke the contact. She didn't made enough money for them and her albums flopped. Nobody was interested in her golden voice (she's by far the best dutch singer ever). She had to perform as a sidekick in other singer''s concerts or as backsinger to make money. It wasn't until 2011 that her breakthrough came in the Netherlands, when she decided to sing in dutch instead of english. She won 4 times in a row best singer award and got invited in shows. Because of youtube, the international and American public picked her up and began to analyze her videos and performances (mostly young people). Now is the time to become an international superstar. She was born for it, but you need the right time and the right moment, and luck. She got a bit lucky Whitney Houston died and people are nostalgic. Glennis gives them that nostalgic feeling back. Alot of people couldn't believe she didn't have an American contract yet. But Simon Cowell, who always tracks potential new talents, saw her on youtube and people's reactions (the music industry changed, people want special performances, instant emotional gratification, authenticity, age isn't a big factor anymore). Simon immediately knew now was the time to give her the podium she deserved, 24 years after her debute.

She probably had a bad manager and bad songwriter, but also, the Netherlands was never the country for female powersingers. They are not used to that. This is probably also one of the reasons she was underestimated. She began to switch to singing dutch songs around 2010 (she was not very enthusiastic about that, but her management asked her to do it), and due to a renewed interest in songs in own language in the Netherlands (because of more nationalism), she became more popular and known and got invited in some shows on tv. Still, she had to perform in hotels and small concerts to earn money. If she is coupled to a good American songwriter, she could become the next female powersinger. She fits more in America than in the Netherlands. That's why alot of American people asked why she wasn't an international superstar yet, while the dutch never asked themselves that question.

Ramzi I wish her all the best and hope she’ll win the America’s got talent but if not I pray that Simon or a great producer will give her a break she deserves! Aside from the fact that she’s sounds like Whitney,her voice quality&style is so pro,!absolutely amazing she even had a great voice than any other singer in the U.S who sold albums even not good in live performances,those artists voices depends on autotune inhanced sadly truth! Dutch people only get on the train when it's moving to succes. Then you become their singer. Not all of course, but alot. They always find something negative about their big singers with personality. By example also with Waylon. Glennis would be big in the US if she was born there. Here they always tell you 'doe normaal, dan doe je al gek genoeg.' But Glennis will be the winner at the end. In Amsterdam she is loved. Always.

I'm American and have been living in Holland for 16 years. The first time I heard Glennis Grace sing, I was hooked! She is definitely my favorite singing Artist since Whitney Houston. When I hear Glennis Grace sing, wow! What an Angel!

Pritti Halog. .. The music industry never pays any of it's stars big money because by the time the 'MOGULS' (Simon Cowell etc.) have had their cut and the 'Record Co. Bosses' had theirs as well, unfortunately there is damn all left for the singer who does all the work. That is why most are one-hit-wonders, here today - gone in a couple of weeks.

Such a shame she hasn't concentrated on Europe as she could do just as well their. - She has a manager and is already with SONY so I don't see why she needs the likes of "BLOOD & MONEY SUCKING COWELL OR THE Hollywood MOGULS" who will just use her for all they can get and then 'throw her away'. I feel sorry for her in a way that she has crossed the 'pond' (as we say). I'm sure if she had split away from the group she was in and just toured Europe and the East she would have done better. I don't know why she has really gone as she will just end up as a puppet to the MOGULS and whilst they get rich off of her they will CONTROL her to make sure she doesn't. Brilliant singer that she is (and there is no dispute over that), the top American female and some of the male singers will not like her being "pushed" in and even the MOGULS listen to them.
