I have taught high school girls thrower and had to back track to what you said here when them came to me. now I coach grades 6-8, this is where I love coaching, the beginner, and this was perfect step by step I like the "A" formation that is a new concept for me to express....thank you Coach....got this bookmarked.

omg I love the glide throw in shot put 😃 I did the glide throw today at my track meet 😃 I threw 23.6 inches I beated my personal record which was 20"8 inches and I now have a new personal record of 23".6 inches 😃

great video! I'm new to shot put, in fact never thrown but was interested in looking at the biomechanics. It seems as if most of the shot put is in the legs and hips rather than the shoulders. Is this correct?

correct! Lower body and hips have most to do w/ power and distance.

Yes throw body cones first then upper body comes want to keep the upper body back as long as possible

Ryan Evans keep the shot pressed against your neck and press it away as you finish dont throw it like a baseball
