I just watched a video where a guy said don’t bend your knees. Which is the correct position?
@tomstrojnik

Howie C Stylez well you have to bend your knees a bit to walk softly. Walking with completely straight legs will result in shaky footage😊 bend the knees slightly and keep your torso straight and upwards

@@tomstrojnik I see that. But I'm speaking in terms of quality. The others with exception to the last shot are spot on cinematic. The ones in between are but not as vibrant. They're somewhat cinematic but more vlog quality.

your glidecam technique is not proper. should have 1.5-2 seconds drop time and you should NOT bend the knees. this is according to Stefan Czech, a glidecam instructor. walk and stand straight up

@LightSubscriber
@LightSubscriber 4 жыл бұрын
I agree bending the knees, puts a lot of stress on the joints, not good. I avoid this while practicing. Glidecam does recommend a 1.5-2 second drop time, each artist should do what they feel is best for their project. Know the rules break the rules
@tomstrojnik
@tomstrojnik 4 жыл бұрын
@@LightSubscriber yes for example if you shoot sports action where you need fast reaction time.. lower drop time is ok, but for smoother reveal shots etc i prefer longer drop time, same for running shots :) Regarding the weak joints... well do squats and lunges in the gym and add specific joint prehab exercises.. the key is in educating yourself about fitness and longevity :)
