Just picked one of these up for my small little apartment. Was looking at newer and better routers, but I think this is enough for me and my girlfriend and our 4 wifi devices at most. The open platform, AdGuard, wireguard, and the very simple use was what sold me. I’m getting sick of products like ASUS with their weird gamer aesthetic apps and their proprietary software. I really appreciate your review by the way. It helped me pick it over some of the competition

I might pick one up for when I goto college next year, I heard they block gaming sites, plus I enjoy privacy that comes with a VPN, I currently use another glinet router and love the VPN feature and use it alot, definitely gonna use that feature at college. Also if you don't need a VPN and want a really nice cheap wifi 6 router, the TP-Link ax series is a good option, I have a ax1500 and it's super fast, you can still use VPN with certain models, it's just easier with glinet devices though VPN speeds aren't the fastest

Same. My college doesn’t allow you to have your own router and the wireless in the on campus dorms are spotty at best so they tell you to either use the Ethernet in the rooms or suck it up and use a mobile hotspot. so I plan on using one of these to hid in my room and to just clone the MAC address of a Xbox and clone the name of a wireless printer so it doesn’t seem suspicious.

How good is the killswitch on this? Is it a true firewall killswitch or simply a real time monitor with a disconnect as soon as it notices the connection has been lost? Thank you for your time :)

Software switch from what I can tell...VPN stop, internet stops

I spent a few days looking for ad black lists and for ways I could make AdGuard home block ads on KZfaq but the only way you can block ads effectively is with the Brave browser. AdGuard home isn’t the tool for KZfaq ads.

@@mantorivas I reached to gli net and I was told you can tether from usb and if you install luci you will have ttl options, also you can add another router for using it as a repeater if needed.

You said this is supposed to take five minutes?? I'm on day 4 of trying to figure out this mess. It's ridiculous. It's connected but not connected. I have lost my mind with this and I really really need this to work for when I leave. Support is not help. I need someone physically here to do this for me.

No add blocker can kill adds. But when watching a KZfaq video on the phone app, hit share and then Adguard..this allows you to watch an add free version on a new window, but you can't cast it to the TV or anything. This only works on my phone (android)
