Glock developed the 19X with a lanyard loop specifically to appease the US Military. While we all know how that turned out, the lanyard loop is still a desirable item for some.

Exactly. Damn thing get you killed climbing over a wall and snag up. Complete bs. Good holster and training is all you need. Sometimes it still would fall but thats do to heavy combat and panicking.

I don’t remember having these on my sidearm as a Corpsman. It seems more like a British thing.

@@cmumma13 sometimes worn for VBSS. Depending on the unit. And when the war first started… dudes were dummy cording every damn thing.

Thought they were only required for aircrew members. My first M9 had one but was never used.

Unfortunately, weapon retention training is not a requirement. Hence the attachment for a dummy cord.

They're sure nice when bailing out of aircraft, moving boats, and other dynamic things though.
